Applied Inventiontronics, Period 4 - Week 7
The desks were paired off again, each with a set of tools, and there was a crate full of completely modable spare parts.
Yes, kids, it is project time again, and Glitch was standing at the front of the class looking very delighted by the whole thing. Really, this was probably his favorite kind of class to teach.
"Alright, class," he said with a smile. "Today, you're going to build something out of nothing. Pick up some parts and start to put them together. Don't worry if you can't get it to work or don't have a set design for it. It doesn't even have to have a real function, if you can't find one, heh. The point of this is for you to get an idea of what it's like to start building something with these materials."
There may or may not have been a moment or two where he bounced ever so slightly, but those moments should be ignored.
"And don't forget that after next weeks break, you'll need to be ready to bring in your preliminary designs for your final projects."
Nothing like ending the lecture on something to strike fear into the hearts of his students, though that wasn't entirely intended.

Synapses were flashing in the hopes that it was something that would, eventually, go away on its own.

"Let me know when you're ready so I can make the arrangements."
There were synapses flaring away about something, some suggestion or idea, but it refused to make itself known.
Re: After Class (2/18)
"I'll... let you know."
There was a pause.
"Can I stay in your office tomorrow? I-in case?"
And now his stutter. Dammit.
Re: After Class (2/18)
"Of course you can. You can bring in your work for you classes if you need to, too."
Re: After Class (2/18)
Because he'd be hiding most of the time, but having someone to hide with made it a little better.
There was a long pause before he finally said
"I'm sorry for snapping. Earlier. I don't--"
He breathed in.
"I feel like someone's played a prank on me and I'm not used to it anymore."
Re: After Class (2/18)
A beat.
"And don't worry about the snapping. I've heard a lot worse from people who had a lot less reason for it, to be perfectly honest."
He would not insult the specific members of the court by name, but he could.
Re: After Class (2/18)
He nodded.
"I'll try not to do it again," he said anyway.
Re: After Class (2/18)
"It's alright if you can't help yourself. I can't imagine turning a different color does much to keep anyone in a good mood."
Re: After Class (2/18)
"I should head to my room." Or rather, Andrew's.
"Thank you again. I'll see you tomorrow."
And he'd see if he could cook up something to make up for today's snap.
Re: After Class (2/18)
"Tomorrow, then. And you're welcome."
