Detention, February 9th [Saturday Morning]

When the students arrived for detention, the Danger Shop was set up to look like a picturesque Welsh mountain range, and Bond was looking disgustingly and disturbingly cheerful, almost bouncy in fact.

"Good morning," he greeted them, after taking down their names, bouncing on the balls of his feet as he gestured around the mountainside. "These here are the Brecon Beacons, and you be spending your detention engaged in a hike, along with some obstacle exercises, nothing too taxing." Given that his own experiences with these mountains had involved sleet, rifles, and increasingly loaded-down backpacks at all hours, taxing really was in the eye of the beholder.

"Oh and do try to keep up, it would be...unfortunate if you were to fall behind," Bond added, before starting down the trail at a slow jog.

A while after they'd left the rope ladder behind, Bond lead them to, then along, a balance beam.

Ron walked across the balance beam, taking it slow and had both arms out to keep his balance.

"Really?" Teddy shook his head, slowly getting on the damn thing. Balance wasn't his strong suit, really.

Brooke was beginning to wonder why they just couldn't write lines, or something. Or oh, they could all sit around, whistle songs, go through each other's purses and make over the freaky girl. Okay, there were no freaky girls here, but they could improvise.

Instead she walked across the beam.

Reno took the balance beam at a run.

Less chances to get knocked off of it if you just tackled it as quickly as possible, after all.
