Welcome to class everyone! I made a chocolate raspberry torte, please have a slice. If you don't like chocolate, I may have trail mix in my bag if you are are hungry. Just don't feed the torte to our class kittens! Yes, they will be in class this week as well, because if they claw up one more thing in my apartment they'll end up in shopping bag filled with rocks at the bottom of the Fandom River.

Today, we will begin out Knitting Section.

Lecture, Handouts, and General Knitting Goodness

Please practice with your classmates, I brought enough yarn for everyone, and keep it away from these goddamn, good for nothing, piece of shit adorable little scamps we have for class pets. You should be ready to start your first beginner's piece. Please bring whatever you have completed as your homework for next class. I can provide all the yarn, patterns, and equipment you will need.

Wednesday eyed the yarn dubiously, easily fending off one of the kittens with her foot. "Mrs. Van de Kamp... would you happen to have a pattern for a straightjacket? Grandmother is always saying she needs a new one, but she hasn't had the time."

"I... do not. Although I can see the need for one, sometimes. Perhaps you should try a cardigan pattern, and we can modify it with additional straps and flip the dimensions from the front to the back? Almost like a wrap sweater, but with leather restraints?"

Paige walks in and notices the topic for today, I don't knit! I'm taking this course so Geoff thinks'll be a decent girlfriend who can look after his place! she thinks to herself.

Erm what's the easiest thing to make Mrs Van De Kamp?

A scarf might be a nice choice. Simple, basic rows. You might want to avoid cable knit for now. (http://images.google.com/images?q=knit+scarf&hl=en) Or if you are feeling industrious a small throw blanket?

Sakura slips into class, petting one of the class kittens on her way in with a smile. She takes note of the assignment and gets herself some yarn, running ideas through her head of what she could possibly make.

Boone who was unavoidably delayed by his mun slips in o class and looks through the knitting options. he's never knitted before, and knows Shannon and just about everyone he knows would give him grief about it. But he doesn't care. He chooses to start with a basic scarf and sits down to work on it.
