Language classes, Tuesday, Oct. 4

Dream is in a good mood today, though you probably wouldn't be able to tell just by looking at him. But his classroom is unusually sunny, and has provided danishes and orange juice for students in Languages of Europe, and sashimi-grade tuna for students taking Cat.

If you have odd dreams after eating them, they're likely to be pleasant ones. Really.

Hello.

Today, students in Languages of Europe should pair up and converse in the language of your choice, other than your own first language. Discuss whatever topic you wish.

[livejournal.com profile] lisacuddy, you are the only student left in the History of English class. I am transferring you to Languages of Europe, though you should feel free to write any papers on your original topic of choice, and you may speak in English in class today.

Students in Cat will be shifted into cat form for the period and interact with another student in the class while in that form. I will, of course, intercede should you be at risk of injury.

All students should submit a paper on their interactions for class on Thursday.

As you can see, there are refreshments on the front table. Help yourselves.

[OOC: Classes in comment threads. I would like a paragraph for your homework on Thursday. Also -- this is a new player from the last time you met, so please let Dream know if he's made any plans with any of you.]

Rogue looks around, praying someone else will want to speak Spanish.

Rogue grins. "Hola Sheldon. Estoy bien, y tú? Yo no he hablado español en dos años, así que yo me disculpo si esta malo."

Rogue laughs. "Mis abuelos son de España. Pero no se hablando por dos años."

[[OOC: Totally stealing most of this from freetranslation.com, just like for me real Spanish class! ^_^]]

Lisa walks into class, obviously unshowered and still smelling a little bit like puke from the night before. She speaks bad French, and even worse German, and even worse Latin.

"Hi, Professor Dream. Thank you for letting me back into class. My original project was going to be based on the French influence on English during the time period of the Norman Invasion, so I guess maybe I could do something on French anyway, and use some of my research. If I haven't lost it. I'll go sit down now."

She sits in the back, praying no one will smell her.

[OOC: A friend asked me to teach her how to swear in French, but I didn't want to, so I just taught her the phrase "Je n'aime pas ton chapeau!" We often use that as a dirty insult now. :p]

[ooc: That is awesome XD. I actually don't know an ounce of French, but two of my Housemates take it. So, yes, this is all translated from babelfish and I apologize if it doesn't make an ounce of sense]

Archie sits down and looks for a partner; he could use extra help in French, since his Spanish seems to be coming along a bit better.
