Language classes, Tuesday, Oct. 4
Dream is in a good mood today, though you probably wouldn't be able to tell just by looking at him. But his classroom is unusually sunny, and has provided danishes and orange juice for students in Languages of Europe, and sashimi-grade tuna for students taking Cat.
If you have odd dreams after eating them, they're likely to be pleasant ones. Really.
Hello.
Today, students in Languages of Europe should pair up and converse in the language of your choice, other than your own first language. Discuss whatever topic you wish.
lisacuddy, you are the only student left in the History of English class. I am transferring you to Languages of Europe, though you should feel free to write any papers on your original topic of choice, and you may speak in English in class today.
Students in Cat will be shifted into cat form for the period and interact with another student in the class while in that form. I will, of course, intercede should you be at risk of injury.
All students should submit a paper on their interactions for class on Thursday.
As you can see, there are refreshments on the front table. Help yourselves.
[OOC: Classes in comment threads. I would like a paragraph for your homework on Thursday. Also -- this is a new player from the last time you met, so please let Dream know if he's made any plans with any of you.]

Re: Cat Class, 10/4

Re: Cat Class, 10/4
Sir, are we to interact with another student turned into a cat or with a student not in this class?
Re: Cat Class, 10/4
I apologize if that was unclear.

Re: Cat Class, 10/4
Sir, I think there's a cat trying to communicate with me.
Re: Cat Class, 10/4
While you are in Cat form, or as a human?
Re: Cat Class, 10/4
(ooc: It's Sark, of course. I don't know where his mun wants to go with it yet, though.)
Re: Cat Class, 10/4
If you see the cat again, tell him to come see me.
[OOC: Cool.]
Re: Cat Class, 10/4
I'll definitely send him your way. He's a very pretty cat...

Uhhh... muy bueno. Hay alimento mexicano en la cafetería.
Re: Languages of Europe, 10/4
[[OOC: Totally stealing most of this from freetranslation.com, just like for me real Spanish class! ^_^]]
Re: Languages of Europe, 10/4
"Hi, Professor Dream. Thank you for letting me back into class. My original project was going to be based on the French influence on English during the time period of the Norman Invasion, so I guess maybe I could do something on French anyway, and use some of my research. If I haven't lost it. I'll go sit down now."
She sits in the back, praying no one will smell her.
Re: Languages of Europe, 10/4
The project sounds fine.
Re: Languages of Europe, 10/4
[ooc: je suis la France! omelette de fromage!
^ it's actually a common phrase heard in my house O_o]
Re: Languages of Europe, 10/4
[OOC: A friend asked me to teach her how to swear in French, but I didn't want to, so I just taught her the phrase "Je n'aime pas ton chapeau!" We often use that as a dirty insult now. :p]
Re: Languages of Europe, 10/4

MEOW mew mew mew mew RRRRRRRfffffft! *hisssssssnarl* ROWR! Meow meow purr mew meow mrrrrrrFFFFFT!
Translation: Professor, despite my distressingly cute appearance, I'm Julian Sark. One of the books in Special Collections somehow transformed me over Zombie Weekend, and I've been too disoriented to do much about it. Is there anything you can do to help? Will this count against my grade?...
...and ooo, is that tuna fresh?
Re: Cat 10/4
Julian? You will get extra credit for your extended experience as a feline.
If you wish to resume human form, I can take care of that now. Just be certain it is truly what you want.
Re: Cat 10/4
Translation: I'm not sure if this falls within your purview, Professor. Normally in this class, I transform into an orange tabby--this is an entirely different feline shape caused by whatever spell I ran afoul of. Given the variety of things that lurk in Special Collections...perhaps it's best I try to change back in the same manner I was changed.
Though I thank you for your offer. *eats tuna meditatively*
Re: Cat 10/4
I have not yet explored special collections here. But if it is as you say, you are right that you should be re-transformed by the same spell. I could force it, but the results might be ... unpleasant.
I will be happy, though, to accompany you as an interpreter, or to help in any other way. You need only ask me.
Something suspiciously like a smile twitches at the corners of Dream's mouth.
I doubt you want to go to homecoming as a cat. Though some of the girls might enjoy it.
