Jareth strides into class wearing riding boots and even more glitter than usual. He might, in fact, be wearing lipstick, but it's hard to tell around the glare of the glitter.

"I'm not sure who your guardians are, and I don't care very deeply, but you should have permission from someone to go into my Labyrinth, since it is not very tame. [ooc: don't know the policy on fieldtrips, am awaiting the prinicpal's reply]

"And because I'm generous and Homecoming is approaching, you may ask me questions about the art of seduction before I go back to employ it. Perhaps we can reduce the desperation that is permiating the hallways as you and your fellow students search for dates."

I find a fairly direct approach works well. It lets the girls or boys know I respect them enough not to play games, and puts all the cards on the table. They ae free to accept or refuse, and we go from there.

Of course it also got all my future offspring threatened.

What do you suggest is a better tactic?

I suspect that has a lot to do with the fact that you don't have a treasurer on your own ticket and you'd prefer Parker's to win as few positions as possible. Not that I'm a cynic or anything.

Kiki quickly tugs a page out of her notebook, scribbles a few words on it, and then grabs Jiji. She colors the bottom of the squirming cat's paw with a marker and then plunks him squarely on the paper. "Jiji," she whispers to the yowling cat, "you have to be my guardian, ok? You practically are, anyway. Otherwise I won't be allowed to go on the field trip, I'll probably fail and I'll end up with dentention on Homecoming weekend when I JUST GOT A DATE. I'm not doing anything to get in trouble this week, so stop making so much noise, alright?"

She lets go of Jiji, who drops off the desk onto the floor indignantly and sulks in the corner for the rest of class.

Kiki hands the note to Professor Jareth. "Here is my permission slip, sir."

The whole seduction thing makes her blush wildly. But maybe... since she's going with that nice wizard with the dark hair and glasses... with the long wooden wand...
