Library [Sunday, January 6]

After a week off, Lee's back in the library and propped up lazily behind the desk. He wasn't going so far as to put his feet up on the desk but he was doing some lounging and leaning and occasionally spinning in the chair. There were books to be checked in and shelved but he had all day to do that.

"Oh, you're always like this," he confirmed with a nod and one step closer. "I just felt like pointing it out today. So you wouldn't think I didn't notice."

"It is nice," Adah commented, having to bite her lip a little to fight off the impatience that left her wanting to open her eyes, "to know that it's appreciated for a change. I highly doubt you'd assign me the Verse for being a smartass."

"I barely know what the Verse is," he said, lowering his voice and leaning forward to kiss her lightly, lingering. "I just know it's a lot of words."

There it was. A warm smile spread across Adah's lips as teh Eel's lips met them, taking it in and enjoying it before she belatedly started to kiss back, thankful that it lingered like it did and leaning lightly into it with her good hand moving up to curl a bit by his chest.

And she wasn't particularly interested in talking anymore. About the Verse or anything, really.

And, for once, he wasn't behind the desk and he could step a little closer, slide an arm around her waist to touch a little more and kiss a little harder without the desk digging into his stomach.

But with all these books watching! The fact that Friday still seemed so fresh in her memory helped her ease particularly quickly into the support of the Eel's arm around her waist, into the stronger force of the kisses, which she tried her best to keep up with, to return; she might be lacking a little in the ability to keep them steady or to keep them from being a little lopsided and overly light, but there certainly wasn't a lack of enthusiasm in them.

Lee shifted, turned them so he could lean against the bookshelves and she could lean against him while keeping a steady hold on her and not missing a beat with his kisses.

He slowed them, kissed her lazily and languidly, smiling against her lips.

And so it appeared as though the Eel's arms were not actually quite nice to look at and be held in, but they were very practical, as they were now having to take the burden of offering Adah support as she melted against him. With everything going on inside, the emptying of her head and the tightening of her chest, her limbs were going awfully weak as well, depnding on him to deal with almost the entirety of her weight pressed up against him.

You know. All one hundred pounds and change of it.

Lee found a comfortable spot, leaned carefully against the shelf and moved his hand from her cheek to slide around her shoulders. He didn't mind the weight, welcomed it even, and sighed in reaction.

The kisses smoothly moved from slow and lazy to a little more insistent, a little more firm.
