"Are you going to do magic, or are you from the past?" she asked, raising her brows. "Because that's really nearly the whole list at the moment."

"Um, past or present depends on who you talk to," he said, looking a little confused. "But I know I don't do magic. How about you?"

"No, I don't," she said, considering that. "And I suppose it is relative. What year are you from, then?"

"I'm from 200?" he said because a season of his canon is only half a year and thus who knows, la. "Which feels a lot like the present to me."

Lucas was a little shocked. "That's definitely the future as far as I know." He was also a little relieved that the weirdness wasn't contained to just the thing with Brooke.
