"I don't know yet. I'm still trying to figure out what this place is like. Oh, I'm Triela," she offered.

"I'm Hoshi," she replied. "This place can be a little disconcerting at first, but it's not so bad. I've been here for about a semester and I feel more at home here than I did at home."

"Hillshire?" asked Hoshi. "At least you had some warning. I was simply dropped off at the end of the causeway, and when I got here and started talking to people, I found out that they dropped me about 140 years in the past."

"140 years in the past?" Triela asked doubtfully. That sounded pretty impossible.
