Johnny returned his smile and nodded, "Not bad, not bad, considering. You're looking good, Ronan. Ready for classes to start back up?"

Ronan groaned. "Oh, Powers, don't remind me. My boyfriend's brother is teaching one of my classes, and I think he doesn't like me unless that thread ends up going in another direction."

"What? Oh, maybe? Peter Petrelli." Ronan shrugged. "We've been seeing each other for a little while now."

"Shit, where've I been? Haven't heard about that at all." And it sort of blew his mind. "Cool... cool..."

Ronan grinned. "Well, we haven't been shouting it from the rooftops or anything. And I haven't seen you much for the last little while. I guess I've been pretty busy, though." He sighed. "But yeah. His brother's teaching here, and I'm in his class."

"I went off for the holidays," he shrugged. "Having a girlfriend... well, there's limits so I just don't get out much anymore." He scratched above his ear. "Maybe I'll try... anyhow, what's he teaching?"

"Well, I've been busy myself," Ronan said, laughing softly, "so it's hardly all your fault." He sighed. "He's teaching the law class. Which looks really interesting, even though I didn't actually sign up for it."

Johnny arched a brow. "Can you back out of it?"

"And look like a wimp?" Ronan retorted, a bit incredulous that Johnny would even suggest that. "Even if the school would met me, which I doubt, I wouldn't want to do that."

"It's hardly backing out when it's a class you didn't sign up for," he shrugged. "But whatever. You're just worried about the teacher? Dude..."

Ronan shook his head. "Nathan already knows that I'm in the class, so it's too late to back out without looking like a wimp. ... And the class does look interesting."

"Then don't worry about it," Johnny said and moved to place his hand on his shoulder. "What other classes you taking?"

"Just the My Country one," Ronan replied. "It looked like it might be fun. What about you? What are you taking?"

Johnny set aside his soda and shoved both hands in his back pockets. "Fandom Invasions and French," he shrugged a shoulder. "Learning a new language could be cool, right?"
