It wouldn't really be up to Chad because Prince Oscar Pedro recognized that look and would leap into Katara's arms at even the first sign of disagreement. He meowed, purring softly as he cuddled up against her.

Chad, however, frowned. "He doesn't mind anything so long as there are pets he can get out of it."

"Which is a good thing," Katara decided. "He knows where his penguin steaks come from. Only not cause you guys don't eat penguin here."

"What's it taste like?" Chad asked. "Penguin, I mean."

He seemed unfazed. He ate eel and squid. The only reservations he had were that some penguins were cute, but, then again, so were some squid.

"It's tastes like penguin mostly," Katara said, cuddling Oscar Pedro closely. "More fishy than, like, sea lion."

"A little like ostrich horse," she said thoughtfully.

Chad nodded, like he understood. He didn't, but he thought he did. "Oh, okay," he said. "Cool."

"We used to eat penguin jerky all the time," Katara said, sounding slightly sad now. "It was good. I wish I could take you to the South Pole and show you."

"I wonder," Chad said, trying to think of something that might pick up Katara's mood a little; Prince Oscar Pedro seemed to have picked up on it, too, because he seemed to increase his nuzzling output, "if it tastes anything like eel. When Teddy and I go out for sushi on the mainland, I'll bring some back for you, and you can see."

"Ooh!" Katara looked up, cuddling Prince Oscar Pedro more closely. "That's fish, right? That would be good."

"It's kinda fish," Chad said with a nod. "It lives in the water and stuff, anyway. It's good. You'd like it." He was sure of that.
