"Yes, it was. Four, no five, of us were affected," he shrugged, talking to her while enflamed. "I'm a celebrity at home. A superhero if you will," yeah, he was smirking. "I can fly and go supernova but I don't. That would be bad."

Huh. That was... curious. Max really wanted to get more in depth about the genetic anomolies and all, but she figured that might blow her cover.

He smiled and extinguished himself. "Yep. So... you have any special talents, Max?" he asked again, curious.

"I take it your sister doesn't go to school here?" Max asked.

"No," he said. "She's older and perfect," god. "I'm apparently the rebel who needed straightening up so I got sent here. Everyone seems to have a story behind why they're here. You say experience is yours?"

Max shrugged. "I was living with some friends in LA. I decided I needed a change."

Max blinked. Cowboys as a concept were a little before her time. "How does that work?"

Johnny shrugged. "You get bit and think you're something your not. I've been bit once and I don't believe I want it to happen again. Sometimes it can be funny," he said, remembering Luke and Gavin. "Sometimes it's not."
