"We should make a new perfume," she said, bouncing on her toes. "We'd make a fortune. Call it something ritzy and French and have the commercials all weird and mysterious. Uh. Did you know you're bleeding?"

Andrew pulled away the napkin so Rikku could see his injury. It was really just a small little nick, but head wounds tend to bleed a lot. "My face got in the way of Jeff's sign," he explained.

"He hit you?!" Rikku said, folding her arms. "That's not very nice of him! Want me to go cram the sign up his --"

The irony was totally lost on her, here.

Andrew laughed. "You don't need to hurt him. It was an accident," he said. "At least I think it was an accident. Jeff might have been testing me for alien blood. For a while there, he thought I was, um, other-worldly and intent of destroying humanity."

"He thought you were an alien?" Rikku giggled. "Was it some kinda prank-thing?"

"I'm not sure what gave him the idea," Andrew replied. "But, hey, John said he had a great time killing things with you over break. Was he as good at it as he says, or was he just blowing smoke?"

Rikku grinned. "That depends entirely on how good he says he was. Actually, I lent him my Glock and he used it like a pro. He and Sokka both got way less injured than I thought they would." She waved a little at that. "We had a Healer, it's no big, things are fixable, you know?"

"He got injured?" Andrew asked, a little worried. "But like, nothing serious? Scrapes and bruises?"

"He's totally okay, promise," Rikku said. "We all got knocked around a little but that's why you travel with a Healer, you know? You fall over and ZAP! Back to good again. It's okay. I made him and Sokka some really good armor before we went, too, just to be on the safe side."

"That's good," Andrew replied. "Did you use ranch dressing to attract the bad guys? Oh, was John the bait this time?"

Rikku laughed. "No ranch dressing, no bait. Just your standard dungeon sweep. Start at one end, find them, steal their stuff, kill 'em, secure the area, next section. Sounds kinda boring like that, huh?"

"No, it sounds awesome!" Andrew exclaimed. "Like Dungeons and Dragons but real, so more like LARPing, but not LARPing, because that is still not really real, like what you guys were doing."

"There weren't any dragons," Rikku said, bouncing on her toes, "and I don't know what a LARP is? But it was so, so amazing. There were Tonberries and Malboros and Wraiths and crazy-bad stuff in there. And it was like BOOM! stole its stuff, killed it, NEXT! And Omega was really in there and we took him out and those fiends were hundreds of years old and I haven't been fighting monsters in ages and I've missed it so much, you know!?? Where you just need to let go and fight and it's not some danger-room-setting deal, it's really just you and them and ..."

She stopped herself abruptly, blushing. "Does ... that sound awful?"

"Not at all. It sounds like these things needed to be killed off, and it sounds like you guys were just the group to do it. I mean, I'm much more of the watch it on tv live at eleven, kinda guy myself, but the world, or, um, universe, definitely needs heroes like you and John and Sokka."

Andrew had to smile at all her energy, even if it did remind him so much of Bart.

Rikku flushed. "Someone said that it was kinda ... I dunno. Bloodthirsty. 'Cause I enjoy it so much and ..." She fidgeted a little. "I'm not a hero. Yunie's a hero, she saved the whole world. I just kinda went along to make sure she got there. She's amazing."

"Well, all I know is, if I ever need anything dispatched, you're on the top of my list," Andrew stated.

"Have you met any of the new people yet?"

"I'm always available for fiend-killing," Rikku said cheerily. "And lemme think. A girl named Amber who's really sweet, and I hope she tries out for cheer, and a guy named Reno who slipped and fell. Then he was all grumpy but he was just having a bad day. What about you?"

(Sorry! Was AFK, am back!)

"Lets see, there was this guy named Romeo. He's from California, too, but I'm not sure if it's the same California because he talks kind of funny. Oh, and this guy named Seregil, who is from another world in another dimension, and is super cute."

"I went to California once!" Rikku announced excitedly. "It was for a cheer-thing. That's really far away, isn't it? This world is huge. I don't know where anything is."

She grinned a little. "Ooooooh. How cute? I gotta go see the eye-candy."

"Where did you go? Sunnydale?" Andrew recalled something about Buffy being part of the cheer team here at some point.

"He's like stammer-worthy cute. Hot. I lost my train of thought when he said hello."

"San ... something. Diego? I think?" She shook her head. "Sunnydale, isn't that where Dawn's from?"

She peered around. "Do you see him? Think he's single? These are very important questions, here."

"Yeah, Dawn and I are from the same place," Andrew replied.

"He's totally single," he said, looking about. "But I don't seem him just now."

"Ooooh, okay," Rikku said, bouncing on her toes again. "Lulu's from the same place as me, too. She's one of the teachers here? She, uh."

Rikku held her hands out to mimic Lulu's most noticeable attribute.

"Well, that's okay," she said, peering around a little. "Good enough to know there are burning-hot guys wandering around. Maybe someone can get them to take their shirts off. Probably too cold for that, huh?"

"Oh, is she pregnant?" Andrew asked, completely misinterpreting Rikku's gestures.

"Yeah, it's a little chilly. Shame, really."

Rikku blushed, and moved her gestures a bit higher, and curvier. "No, uh, she's ... got this dress that scoops down like this, and she, uh ..." Fooom, spills right out of it. "I think she has a lot of double sided tape? 'Cause. It never falls down, even when you're sure it's going to."

She made a face. "I hate the winter. When I first got here I thought it was going to be like this all the time. I was so ticked."
