Bridge is resisting the urge to call well... pretty much everyone he knows, and ask how they're currently holding up with the whole Angelus situation. At least he's captured now. That's gotta be something, right?

Z (and that oh-so-attractive bruise on her face) decided that checking up on Bridge visiting the library would be a good thing to do. So oh, look, here she was. "Hey," she said by way of extremely eloquent greeting.

"Hey!" Bridge says, putting his phone back in his pocket. "I was... just about to call you, actually." It wasn't entirely true- he kept starting to dial, and then changing his mind about actually calling. And then two minutes later he'd be back to dialing. But Z's actually here now so that's sort of a moot point.

"About what?" Z asked, looking confused. "How's your ankle? Keeping off it, I hope?"

"Just um, to see if you were okay?" Bridge says. "And mostly?"

"I'm fine," Z said. "It's just a bruise. And, you know, good."

"You're sure?" Bridge says, peering suspiciously at said bruise. "Did you put ice on it or something? Or take an asprin, if it hurts?"
