She's sipping her tea (http://www.teavana.com/Apple+Lemon+Pomegranate+Rooibos+Tea/cid=48/page_no=1/edp_no=5521/shop.axd/ProductDetails) and checking in books while Gulliver is off patrolling the stacks.
Complete with Cartoon sound effects Robin crept in the door, tiptoed up to the counter, and ever so stealthily placed a wrapped gift (http://www.amazon.com/Fiesta-Picante-Latin-Party-Collection/dp/B000003OZC/ref=pd_bbs_sr_6?ie=UTF8&s=music&qid=1197414161&sr=8-6) on it.
Anemone was pretty sure Gullivers did not make weetiny giggle-y sounds. They make a wide range of expressive sounds, but giggles were not one of them.
"Come out, come out, wherever you are!" she sang, slipping out of her seat to look in the book return and other areas behind her desk. "Wee knights? Birdie? Other unidentified library creature and/or person?"
Anemone quietly stalked around the front of the desk, eyes flickering over Special Collections and down the rows of regular books. She doubted either of those creeps from the Bookworld would leave her a gift, but she wasn't going to disregard the option.
"Here mouse-y mouse-y. Anemone doesn't bite," she said. "Much. Usually. Okay, not lately, anyway."
"It's Christmas already?!?" Anemone looked around frantically, turning bright red. "Oh no, I messed up another holiday! I thought I had another few weeks! Ahhh!"
"Oh no!" Robin hastily assured her. He hopped up on the counter to be closer. "It's not Christmas itself, but people say it a little while before hand too."
"So it IS from you!" Anemone jumped off the counter to stand behind Robin, poking at him teasingly. "I had to make sure it wasn't a Trojan Horse sent by the weeknights, or something in Special Collections. They get tricky."
Lunch finished, she's indulging in some online shopping. Anemone still doesn't quite understand the concept of Christmas, but she wants to get people presents anyway.
Anemone's doing her usual end-of-day patrol, walking the stacks and scolding the wayward books. Gulliver has assumed his post at the Circulation Desk, and will be watching the door intently.

Then she spotted the gift. "Hm. Gulliver, did you do that?"

He scooted down to the end of the counter that she was not on. The plan was to slip behind the desk if she went in front of it, and sit in her chair.

The chair squeaked a bit when he hopped into it.

She grinned as she saw her visitor, posture relaxing. "Oh. Sweet-Robin. Why didn't you just say so, silly?"
