"I am not," Jean-Paul began his lecture this Friday, "despite what some of my former students and contemporaries would have you believe, an evil man. But you should, nonetheless, be at least introduced to precalculus during your high school career, to better prepare you for college. Realistically, you should have a full semester of it, but as that is not workable, you get...one day." He winced a little on their behalf. "I've assembled a packet for you to work with. Choose one of the topics contained within that you are not familiar with already to learn more about."

"A little from Column A, a little from Column B...." Charlie grimaced, then sighed. "Okay. Not complaining. Just overwhelmed. And Rodney should get tutoring credit for helping me pass this thing."
