The Library

[janet_fraiser]

Janet slides gracefully down the halls of Fandom High, surveying everyone she passes. She reaches the door to the library, flips the sign to open, and walks in.

Today Janet is wearing makeup. Janet has never once worn makeup and only occasionally painted her nails. Her finger and toe nails are painted a burnished copper, her lips are a dark red, and her eyes have been rimmed with green and copper eye shadow, and thick black eyeliner, almost like kohl. She is wearing sandals, a long, spreading russet orange skirt, and a midriff-baring black tank top that looks suspiciously like it might belong to Aeryn.

Oddly enough, she has no coffee on hand.

John frowns. "Yeah, I remember that. I just didn't remember Aeryn being into swapping clothing. You sure you're feeling all right?" John reaches up in an attempt to feel Janet's head for a fever.

Janet grabs John's wrist in a crushing grip and flings it back. "Do not lay hands on our person," she snaps furiously. "We are perfectly well."

Ooh, the angry icon! An excuse, finally!

John whips his arm back, cradling his wrist. "Well, dammit, was that really necessary? I'm just concerned for you...guys," he adds lamely since she's taken to talking about herself in the third person. "You sure you don't need some Midol or something? I could ask Aeryn."

"We are not in need of medication," spits Janet. "We are not in need of your concern, though your sense of oblgiation is admirable." She looks back at her computer and begins typing again. "Ignorant cretin," she mutters under her breath.

So you're okay with the grabbing the wrist and flinging thing? I didn't even think about it until after I posted. Sorry!

"So, wait. You can be concerned about me and I can't be concerned about you?" John frowns in confusion. "You've cried on my shoulder, Janet. I know this isn't you."


[OOC: Totally fine. You've got free reign when it comes to John whumping.]

"There is no need for your concern," said Janet, her teeth clenched tightly together. This had not been anticipated. Her previous information, gained when she first began her quest for vengeance, had given her to understand that this host led a lonely existence. Instead there were over-familiar interlopers to be put in their place.

She ignored the ranting and ravings of the host's consciousness as one would ignore the yappings of an ignorant mongrel. "We are perfectly fine. You need not concern yourself with the affairs of your betters."

OOC: OMG, I had no idea how this was going to go, but Hathor? She's not one for subtlety when her temper's riled.

"Okay, uh..." John starts to walk away but turns around. "How should I tell Aeryn that you're wearing her shirt?" John stops again, and changes subjects quickly. "Did Daniel do this to you? I'll kick his ass if he did."

"We did not see fit to ask," says Janet. "The need was there, and so we took what we wished as we deserved." She looks back at Crichton as the topic changed. "Our bel-- Daniel Jackson did not do this. Do not insist that something is wrong." Janet's voice grew more insistent with each word. "Our behavior is as it should be."

OOC: Aeryn's so going to kill me.

John, noticing the slight rise in temper, decides to quit while he's behind. "Yeah. Okay, Janet. This is normal. Sure. See you later," he says, still frowning before exiting the library post haste, still holding his wrist a bit.

He makes a note to talk to Janet's roommate and tries to figure out a way to tell Aeryn about the shirt.
