NNSE, Monday, Period 1 [Dec 3]
"Good morning, class," Lulu began, her smile bright this morning. "I must say, your papers from last week were certainly an interesting read; you'll get them back, with marks, next class. Today, we're going to talk about something that will likely embarrass most of you more than anything else has in the class so far. Our topic today is BDSM and furries.
"You may ask why I'm bringing these up in class," she continued, pacing across the front of the room as she spoke. "In fact, these are two of the closest-to-mainstream 'alternative sexual practices' -- and both are viewed by mainstream society with a great deal of prejudice and misconception." She discussed briefly the ideas of BDSM and furry, outlining the briefly ideas that some people find pleasure from giving or receiving pain, and that others have involved fantasies, sexual or otherwise, involving anthropomorphic animals. "What I'd like you to do today is consider your first reactions to both BDSM -- especially the ideas of sadism/masochism and bondage/discipline -- and the idea of furries, and write a short paper about those reactions."
Lulu waited until the end of class, and then collected the papers. "For the first time," she said, "you're going to have homework in this class; for next Monday, I would like you each to read these articles I have for you." She brought out the two articles, placing them at the front of the room. "After reading them, I'd like you to consider your initial reactions, about which you wrote today, and write another paper in response to it with your new knowledge.
"Also," she added, as the class collected the articles, "I would like to invite you along today on Professor Rogers' trip to the National Gallery of Art, which I am helping to chaperone; we are leaving at lunch, so if your afternoon is free and you wish to come along, you may do so, although it is purely voluntary, and there will be no extra credit given for coming."
[NSFW as always, please wait for OCD is up!]
ETA: I rewrote an early section of the lecture regarding the term paraphilia, because I was a little misled in my understanding of the word. That's what you get for skimming a wiki article. ^^;; Class is now with less doom'n'gloom!

The furry thing just made her wonder if Ronsos ever dated humans, and if there weren't Ronsos in this world, wasn't it all a moot point? Oh. They dressed up. Well, if there weren't Ronsos, they'd have to, wouldn't they?

The furries, well, to each their own.

Work on Your Paper [Dec 3]
Re: Work on Your Paper [Dec 3]
a) Pain is bad, and people who liked giving pain were psychotic, whereas people who liked receiving pain were just weird. But, you know, in a totally-accepting-of-their-lifestyle way. Also, girls who could beat him up were really hot.
b) Erotic fantasies involving anthropomorphic animals were SICK and WRONG, and were obviously the result of too much cartoon-watching, at least when he had them.
Re: Work on Your Paper [Dec 3]
Then she stared at the paper for a moment, face still blank.
Restraints are not toys, she wrote, and sadism is not a game.
She then turned the paper over, very clearly finished.
Re: Work on Your Paper [Dec 3]
He put too much thought into that.
As for the furries, well Haku had known some really strange people back home, so people liking that sort of thing didn't surprise him.
Re: Work on Your Paper [Dec 3]
1. I don't get why someone would want to get hurt during sex. Pain is bad, geez. And it's stupid to place yourself in harm's way for no reason. I don't get it.
2. Why?!
It wasn't the best paper she'd ever turned in, but already it was more thinking about the topic than she'd wanted to do.
