Sam got to the library a little early, but he figured that just gave him more time to work on what he had planned for the day.

"I'm bad, but I'm not that bad," Sam teased.

"Good. Because that? Is scary bad."

"No, I'm still in the 'Oops, did I add salt instead of sugar?' phase," Sam said.

"In which case we feed them to people we think are possessed or demons," Dean said with a grin.

"Amazingly, I think that number has gone down a lot recently."

"Maybe a memo went out that the Winchesters are in residence so keep away or get your ass exorcised."

"Especially since we're potentially increasing in number," Sam said.

"Yeah." Dean grinned, then looked at Sammy closely. "How are you feeling about that? Really? Just between you and me?"

"It's a little weird to think about Dad getting married like a normal person," Sam admitted. "But I like Zoe, and I love Grace, and it all just kind of makes sense, you know?"

"Yeah," Dean agreed. "I think Mom would've liked Zoe too."

"Really?" Sam asked. "I know for me...Zoe's like the first mom I've ever had. But that's not how it is for you. Are you okay with this?"

"Zoe's great and, with Grace, she's already part of the family so this is just making it official," Dean said. "But she won't replace Mom. No one could do that. Only Mom is our Mom."

Sam nodded thoughtfully. "But are you okay with this? Her being our stepmom? That's different. She'd be...you know, Zoe."

Dean smiled. "Yeah. And that's better than okay. It's pretty awesome." He got more serious. "But Sammy, she's not the first mom you ever had."

"I know that. I said she's like my first mother...I don't remember anything about Mom. You have to understand that," Sam said.

"You're not going to call Zoe 'Mom,' though are you?"

"Oh, no way. She's Zoe. Anything else would be weird."

"Okay, good. Because there's only one person you should be referring to as Mom."

"I know," Sam said, seriously. "I'd never call anyone else Mom, I promise."

Dean nodded, relieved to hear that. "That's all that I was worried about. I'm good now."

"Good," Sam replied with a smile. "Don't worry about stuff like that, okay?"

"I just needed to make sure," Dean explained.

"I get that, I guess," Sam said. "I don't know about you, but I never expected this to happen."

"I never expected to have any more siblings either."

"Good point," Sam said, laughing. "I don't think Dad expected more kids either. It all sort of worked itself out though."
