Sam got to the library a little early, but he figured that just gave him more time to work on what he had planned for the day.

The first order of business was to get all of the returned books checked in, and check his e-mail.

Thursday appeared from within Special Collections at some point during the first period, looking like she'd been in there for a while (a few hours at least).

She took a look around and spotted Sam. "I'm going to set something on fire. Don't be alarmed." She then looked up, as if talking to the library. "The same goes for you!" She sported a brief smile at Sam, then disappeared back into Special Collections, locking the door behind her.

A few minutes later, there was a disturbingly loud belching noise coming from Special Collections, followed by a stream of curses that were very un-British and very un-ladylike.

Sam watched the door, and stared a little at the sounds he heard. That was one way to start the morning, he supposed.
