When the class arrived, Squall wasn't in the room.

The sign-in clipboard was laying on his desk. On the chalkboard was written "TODAY'S TOPIC: APPROPRIATE THINGS TO DO WHEN UNSUPERVISED".

On each desk was a sheet of paper listing appropriate classroom behavior, including things like "arrive on time", "don't leave until dismissed by the instructor", "no chewing gum", "no hats", etc.

"Wait, wait," said the TA when she realized what was going on here. "Does that mean I'm in charge now? Bow, minions!"

She wouldn't be terribly surprised if everyone ignored her, actually.

"Then I applaud your independent spirit, while at the same time wishing you'd just bloody do as you're told," Jenny said. Unfortunately, she couldn't just beat them, and as a TA she didn't think she had detention priviliges, so she had no way to enforce her coup.
