Ares seemed in a very chipper mood today as he addressed the class.

"Easy lesson today, just read the handouts, and think about what you might be able to achieve using only items from your own wardrobes," he said gesturing. "Something in the air gives me the impression that you might need the information soon."

The chirpiness combined with the noticeable lack of anything likely to humiliate the students was probably a bad sign.

"Maybe," Dean said, still frowning. He was thinking of Sammy's vague vision.

"Ares? Cheerful about death? I'd say definitely. I'm just not sure of what," she said, mentally running through a list of what they had faced.

"Dammit, I knew things were going too well," Isabel muttered. "What else have you heard? And any idea what we can do to head it off?"

"Let's just say that there might have been some warning of something bad happening but nothing specific," Dean said.

She sighed and stared at Ares for a moment. "I don't suppose we could beat the truth out of him?"

"Not with Ares, no," she replied, smirking a bit. "Other people? Maybe."

But as amusing as the conversation was, Isabel just kept coming back to the idea that something bad was coming. "So we just keep our eyes open and stay ready?"

"No, you're right. I just hate waiting and wondering," Isabel explained. "Because they you start imagining bigger and badder and just, yeah, not fun."
