He couldn't help the grin that appeared on his face and he tried to wipe it away quickly so he could be serious and solemn.

"He sounds like quite the fellow," Lee said. "And his name's very familiar. Are my arms just not as good?"

Looking terribly pensive, Adah tilted her head, frowning thoughtfully at the Eel and his arms. With a slight shake of her head, it became clear that a mere headtilt wouldn't be enough to determine and so she carefully placed her left hand back behind her on the desk so she could lean back a little, as though for a better view, but her expression remained dismal and unsatisfied when she straightened again. "I don't know," she admitted. "It's too difficult to tell from here. I'd have to be much closer to make a proper analysis."

"Well, then."

He hopped up off his chair and came around the desk, stopping when he was close too her and leaning against the front of the desk.

"Examine away."

"Hmmm." With another tilt of her head, Adah brushed her own fingers against her chin as she was allowed a closer look. Still not close enough; this might call for examinations of microscopic proportions, but, since she didn't have a microscope readily available, she would have to fall back on reaching for the Eel's hand with hers, lifting his arm to varying angles to have a better look. "Still not sure," she admitted. "I think..."

She trailed off and then, with one awkward limp (that she absolutely hated at that moment) and a slight turning, she had moved the arm so that it was around her slightly, and she went to lean (with more weight and need for support than she'd want to admit) her back against his chest. "...ah, yes. A comparison might be gleaned from this angle..."

...but, Dog, that was a lot of work to con her way into just a single embrace.

Lee grinned let his arm rest comfortably against her so she could see both see his arm up close, so he could hold like he always enjoyed and so her con would prove successful.

"How's this?"

"Better," Adah decided with a light nod and then tilted her head back against his shoulder. Clearly, just to increase her calculating processes, as headtilts were wont to do. She ran her hand lightly along one of the arms around her. She let out another thoughtful sound. "Fascinating data," she decided with a light nod, "truly. But I feel that perhaps more time might be needed in the lab before a proper conclusion can be made."

He laughed quietly and pressing a kiss behind her ear before saying, "And where's your lab at? Is it far?"

"It's a secret laboratory," Adah decided firmly after a moment. Adah read a lot of sci fi. Too much, perhaps, but, all things considered, that was probably a good thing. "If I answered that, I would potentially run the risk of putting you in danger for knowing too much."

"But, if you bring me there, I'm going to know anyway," he said, laughing again. "If I knew beforehand, I could prepare myself for any danger that might be coming."

"Didn't say anything," Adah shifted her head a little to grin back at him, "about bringing you there. I have enough quantitative data to research filed away up here." Briefly, she tapped her forehead. "And, even if not, I wouldn't need you there. Just your arms."

"So, you'd just leave me without my arms?" Lee asked. "I'm better as a complete package."

Oh, and she certainly had no doubt about that one. Letting out a light laugh, though, Adah still shook her head. "Just the arms," she confirmed. "We need a constant; the rest of you might interfere with data."

"That's so sad to hear," he said, making his voice sad. "And I know so many things that might help you decide if you liked that Lee guy better."

"But we aren't determining that," Adah pointed out. "Only who has better arms."

"So, if you had to decide without further research, who has better arms?" Lee asked, grinning again. "Me or that other guy?"

"Well," Adah said after a moment of tilting her head thoughtfully, "the smart decision would be to say you, because you're here and he isn't."

"Exactly," Lee said, nodding. "I'm here and my arms aren't that bad. And I'd argue with this guy if he ever did show up. My arms are better."

"That," Adah said, a little wide eyes and with a laughing smile, "is an argument I would love to see."

He tightened the arm around slightly, very gently, and said, "But who would you root for? If we were both in the same room, all those arms."

"Myself," Adah responded with a light nod, leaning back against the Eel a little more. "As I'd clearly be the winner in that situation."

He laughed quietly and said, "I think you'd be right. I still think my arms are better. And so are my eyes."

"And the devastating smile?" Adah asked. "Does he get that one?"

"No, I think I want that one too," he decided, nodding. "I'm kind of selfish. I want the lazy days again too."

Shaking her head ruefully under the weight of his sheer selfishness, Adah had to ask, "And anything else?"

"No, I think I'm good," he said, nodding again. "Is there anything else I should argue for?"
