Study Hall -- Friday, September 30th

Welcome to Friday's study hall. Sorry I didn't open the doors sooner. I was off venting some frustrations at the firing range.

In any event, a few announcements:

-- drgrissom, if you're still up for detention, it is all yours, and yes, you're free to experiment on the students within reason. (For example, "Does this student weigh as much as a duck?" is within reason, while "Can this student catch an anvil on the tip of their tongue like a snowflake?" is not within reason.) Teachers, I will post a sign-up sheet in this study hall for you to report which students will have detention this weekend.

"Thanks, too bad you missed out on the fun." Frowning at his shoes, he considers what Sam might have missed further. "I er... I took Vala on a date."

Sam put the card she was folding down onto the desk and looked at him with interest. "And...how'd it go?"

He looks up at Sam with a smile that speaks for itself, "good."

Cameron's smile is so stupidly goofy and love-struck that Sam can't help but grin in return. "Congratulations, that's great. How's Archie taking it?"

"Thanks," Cameron grins at her. "He knows he will always be my one true love and he's getting us a double hammock."

She leans forward and whispers, since Cam's being all gentlemanly about things. "So...what'd you do on the date? Are you going out again?" A double hammock? Wouldn't a single be cosier?

"Took her down to Serenity Cove for a picnic," Cameron can't stop smiling. "I found a path to go down to the beach, it's great out there and no one around to bother you." Single one is a bit small to cuddle up in.

"That's so sweet!" Sam resisted the urge to squeal, but was happy that at least one of the guys seemed to be making forward progress. "I can't believe you found privacy at this place." If you weren't both such big, strapping men, you wouldn't have those problems.

"I found it on my morning jog, it's a bit steep to get down there but definitely worth it. If not too many people find it, that is." He seems pleased with his discovery. Archie loves my for my manliness.

"You found a good jogging path? Care to share, if I promise not to advertise it? Janet and I were talking about doing some early morning jogging, but I wasn't sure exactly where was safe." Sam was curious, but was definitely enjoying the newer, happier Cameron. He seemed to have recovered nicely from the mess with Beka. Archie would love you if you were a 98-pound weakling and covered in rotten cabbage and you know it.

Cameron considered it for a moment, "I don't know. I don't feel like going down there and running into Daniel and Janet making out." Definitely not after finding out that Vala tried to seduce him. I'm not worthy of such a pure love.

Sam rolled her eyes. " Trust me, you won't be running into them making out anytime soon unless Daniel has an aneurysm and finally comes to his senses ."

Cameron shrugged, "Fine, if you both get your lazy asses out of bed early enough, you can come with me."

"I'm honored," she said, wryly. "How early are we talking about here?"
