Study Hall -- Friday, September 30th

Welcome to Friday's study hall. Sorry I didn't open the doors sooner. I was off venting some frustrations at the firing range.

In any event, a few announcements:

-- drgrissom, if you're still up for detention, it is all yours, and yes, you're free to experiment on the students within reason. (For example, "Does this student weigh as much as a duck?" is within reason, while "Can this student catch an anvil on the tip of their tongue like a snowflake?" is not within reason.) Teachers, I will post a sign-up sheet in this study hall for you to report which students will have detention this weekend.

-- If you haven't met him yet, please meet our new dean of students, dean_bristow.

Belthazor wandered into study hall, looking like he hadn't gotten a good night's sleep in a couple days. He took a seat in the back of the room, looking up at the door every time someone new entered the room.

Rogue pads softly into study hall, pulls out her books, and starts studying Classics. "Stupid Hebrew," she mutters.

Sam wanders in and takes a seat in the back, putting her messenger bag on the floor next to her. She pulls out a large stack of blank 4"x6" index cards and begins folding them into shapes and interconnecting them to construct something unrecognizable unless you're familiar with what an Asgard drive system looks like .

Piper wanders into study hall, placing a plate of brownies on a desk with a sign that says "Piper Halliwell for Homecoming Queen."

This was all Paige's idea. She hoped it worked.

Belthazor walked over to Piper's desk. "Piper, I gotta talk to you," he said.

Evelyn wandered in and took up her usual seat under a window. She got comfortable and then pulled out a book called "Myths of Demons and Curses" and began reading.

Piper looks up at Belthazor. "I have nothing to say to you."

She tried to ignore him.

Marty walks in with a bunch of cookies with the number "6" written on them in red icing. He also carries in a load of fliers and posters (http://www.livejournal.com/community/fandomhighdorms/132726.html) to hand out. He pins one of the posters to a wall and puts out a sign that says:

He put his hands on the desk and leaned into her. "Just tell me where Phoebe is. And I'll leave you alone."

Piper peered at him. "Do you honestly think I would ever tell you where she is?"

He dropped his voice for Piper's ears alone. "If you don't tell me where she is, then maybe when she does finally show up, maybe I'll just tell her about you and me. You wouldn't like that, would you?" There was a dangerous yet desperate glint in his eyes.

Cameron enters the study hall and notices Sam sitting at one of the tables. He approaches and smiles at her. "Thought you'd disappeared."

Belthazor caught sight of the book Evelyn was reading. Interesting. Pulling up a seat beside her, he said down and said, "Hey, Evie. Long time no talk."

Evelyn looked up from her reading and smiled at him. "Hi, Belthazor. Yeah, looks like classes and things have been keeping the both of us quite busy."

Piper glared at him, something that was becoming a habit. "Why do you want to know where she is?"

"Hi! I'm Kitty, and this is Lockheed. He's really friendly, actually-"

::Lockheed growls protectively.::

She smiles back. "Yeah, I'm getting a lot of that. Family stuff. It's nice to be missed." She notices that Cameron's knuckles appear to be a little bruised and swollen. "What happened to your hand?"

"I just...I just need to know, okay?" he said. "I want to know that she's all right. She hasn't been to any of her classes this week. Paige said she's off doing something for her journalism professor, but that doesn't tell me much."
