Study Hall -- Friday, September 30th

Welcome to Friday's study hall. Sorry I didn't open the doors sooner. I was off venting some frustrations at the firing range.

In any event, a few announcements:

-- [livejournal.com profile] drgrissom, if you're still up for detention, it is all yours, and yes, you're free to experiment on the students within reason. (For example, "Does this student weigh as much as a duck?" is within reason, while "Can this student catch an anvil on the tip of their tongue like a snowflake?" is not within reason.) Teachers, I will post a sign-up sheet in this study hall for you to report which students will have detention this weekend.

"Oh, really?" he said with forced casualness. "So you know a lot about curses and demons? I knew you were into curses, but not the demon part."

He looked around again a little nervously. "I don't know if right here in the middle of study hall is the place to discuss this," he said. "Can we talk somewhere privately later?"

Evelyn nodded. "For you, I can always make time, Belthazor. Just leave a message on my voice mail. However...I do have a favour to ask in return?" Evelyn's eyes are serious.

"I, um, have an appointment this afternoon, but I'll be around at various times tonight or tomorrow. Any particular time that works for you?" he asked.

He caught the seriousness of her gaze. "Sure, what's up?"

She met his eyes and lowered her voice. "I want you to teach me how to fight."

He grinned. "That I can do. What kind? Unarmed, swordfighting...?"

"Whatever kind of fighting I would need to take on zombies or other creatures like that." Evelyn said seriously. "I got stuck in a tree with zombies trying to get up after me for an entire night. I want to know how to defend myself."

"Probably best to start with unarmed then see how you handle a weapon later," he said, nodding. "Yeah, I can do that, no problem. I'm pretty well trained in that kind of thing."
