Library [Sunday, 11-4]
Lee's back in the library today and he's looking decidedly chipper. Well, he's not brooding and he is smiling. He considered that pretty damn chipper.
He's propped up at the desk, a book in his lap and some orange juice in his hand, relaxing and feeling very lazy.

She leaned on the desk, trying to peer at the book and figure out what the Eel was reading.

And then he looked up and smiled at her. "Hi."
Re: Afternoon
"I believe that, as a rule, books about fish have to be boring."

"Along with modeling, I also act in my spare time," he explained mock seriously. "And if you weren't you, I know I wouldn't like you nearly as much as I do.'
That was said completely seriously.

And there was singing. Very bad, very off key but quiet singing. "Row row row your boat gently down the...lake. Merrily, merrily, merrily life is but a...fake."
He frowned and said, "I think I sang it wrong."
Re: Afternoon
"You did, but if that was a clever ruse to trick me into singing it correctly, it won't work. Especially since I like your version much, much better."
Re: Afternoon
He put a finger to temple and scrunched up his face, looking like he was either in a lot of pain or thinking really deep thoughts.

And, well, while she wasn't going to throw her pen, she decided after she'd made her statement, to lightly bop him on the head with it. So that he knew she was not to be trifled with, indeed.
Re: Afternoon
"I was thinking of you singing good, though," he argued back, just as lightly. "Under the stars, in the library, up on the roof, in the park. And you'd sing and there'd be no one else around. Except me. Because I'm selfish like that."

"And other ways to sing than with voices. Luckily. For both of our sakes."
Re: Afternoon
He paused for a moment.
"Even if those private concerts are just so he can laugh at me."

After he was finished, he pushed it towards her.
"When I see the stars now, I'm going to think of you."
Re: Afternoon
"Should I feel bad," she didn't, "for suddenly taking over your previous associations?"

"'...and as the evening twilight fades away, the sky is filled with stars, invisible by day.'" She paused again, tapping her pen thoughtfully. "I'll have to admit, my mind won't immediately go to their deaths anymore." Death of a different sort, perhaps, but, for now, she finally pushed the notebook forward, watching his expression carefully.
