Fandom's Next Top Runway Model [Monday, Period Five]

When Lee got to the classroom today, there was a note on the door written in what appeared to be very shaky, very scared handwriting.

Fleeing the crazy.

Will return when threat passes.

You have the class.

Ares

Lee stared at the note for a long time and then shook his head before going into the classroom and trying to think of SOMETHING to do.

When everyone started filing in and settled down, Lee said, "Ares went and got married this weekend." Hey, he was in control. "To some girl name Rowena. I think they're on their honeymoon now or something. Make sure to wish him well when he gets back. He didn't leave us anything to do so I'm going to make something up. As a lot of you saw, I got stuck to the side of the dorms in my underwear last week by a teacher who you all should call grandmother when you see her. And then tell her I told you too."

What the hell, right?

"Anyway, that leads to the big question. Boxers or briefs? Or nothing? For girls...well, I don't know what underwear girls wear so the girls can figure that out? Why's one better than the other? Why would anyone for a frakking thong? And what the frak is up with this planet's obsession with thongs?"

Lee really shouldn't make things up off the top of his bed.

"No modeling though. Ares might reappear as soon as that happened and that'd be creepy. Oh, and if anyone would like to bitch about Parent's Weekend, we can do that too. We probably need to."

And then Lee sat down at the desk and waited for the discussions.

[OCD is coming up! I'm a little weird this morning.]

"Nah. Not anti-social enough."

"It's true," Peter said, finally feeling calm enough to answer Dean's question. "Look, I don't - Sam knows the story. Short version is true for my family, not for me and Nathan."

"Figured not for you," Dean said easily. "You just don't seem like the horsehead in the bed kinda guy."

"Nathan isn't either," Peter said.

"You might want to remind him of that because I'm not sure he knows."

"He's not." Peter gave Dean a pleading look. "Can we drop it? Please?"

Dean took a deep breath and let it out. "Yeah, sure." He paused and then added, not without some humour, "Probably a good thing I didn't meet your mother, huh?"

"She warms up," Peter said, automatically.

"I'm going to take that as a yes."

"She's a sweetheart, honest," Peter said.

"And my dad's a people person."

"He's nice to me," Peter said with a shrug.

"Okay, now that really is a superpower."

"Maybe I picked it up from Sam," Peter said with a grin. Because in his mind everybody liked Sam.

Dean chuckled. "Dad and Sammy? Not exactly the picture perfect example of a peaceful father-son relationship. You know how two magnets that are the same repel each other? That's Dad and Sammy."

"Why? There's nothing wrong with him."

It was still not that year.

"Let's just say I wouldn't be surprised if the Winchesters didn't have some mule blood in their DNA."

"Ahhh," Peter said, getting it. "I wouldn't know what that's like."

He was teasing, of course.

"I tell ya, I'm still amazed they didn't rip each other apart in the three years I was gone."

Re: Talky Talk

"Probably too focused on missing you." The answer came instantly, as soon as Peter tried to imagine what things would've been like if Nathan vanished for three years.
