Still on a bit of a high from the weekend, Anemone opened the library right on time.

Y'know, because Surprise!Pregnancies didn't happen back in the 60s. Or 50s. Or ever.

"I did learn from my friends. I just don't have many friends at home, and they aren't always right." Anemone dug around in her schoolbag for her notes, and winced as she read them over. "Er, I don't suppose you can read kanji?"

"Read what?" He looked at the back of the notebook. "Uh, I don't read Chinese." Just Chinese food." Oh, man, he's screwed. Totally failed the test.

"It's Japanese," she corrected as she flipped through the pages. Every single one was covered in a haphazard mix of kanji and English. "Crap, sorry, I don't always think in English. Um, what section do you need? I can copy it out in English for you by Monday."

"I'm sure you did fine." she said as she leaned over the counter to awkwardly pat his shoulder. "As long as you were honest about what you learned, Miss Lulu will probably give you a good grade. I bet you did better than you think."
