The ususal breakfast goodies were laid out on the table. Additionally the seating was all arranged into pairs, with a table holding a small pot and two cups next to each pair.

"Today's class discussion is on the topic of scam artists and prediction. I'd like to hear your opinions on some of the following questions:

-Does charging money for telling fortunes affect the validity of a prediction?
-Do fortune-teller con artists harm the reputation of "real" seers?
-How can legitimate prophets and seers counteract the public perception of fortune-tellers as cons?"

Once the discussion was over, Aziraphale gave a brief lecture and presented some handouts on tea (and coffee) reading.

"Your in-class activity today is to read tea leaves or coffee grounds for yourself or -- preferably -- for a classmate. You may also want to get in some practice outside of class, as we will be using today's activity as the basis for a special project in a few weeks."

Your homework for is to keep a dream journal for the next week. One of your handouts has some good pointers on methods for keeping them. When you come to the next class, I'd like you to bring a written interpretation of one of the dreams from your journal. Now, we'll move on to today's class exercise.

Chris turned in his ~~handwavy~~ homework.

Chris took a seat and waited to see if anyone would join him.

Chris was here and ready to perform his TAly duties.

I'm drinking peppermint tea today because it's one of those days that it SUCKS to be a girl.

Lana turned in a detailed interpretation of one of the many nightmares she'd had over the past week. Her dream journal was full of them or notations explaining that she had not slept on a particular night.

I was just told that I was being nasty and snapping at everyone, which I *totally* didn't think or realize I was. Maybe I need some tea.

Andros turned in his ~~completely handwavey~~ homework.

"I don't think it necessarily changes the validity of a prediction," Lana said. "But the ones who seem to be out for anything they can get certainly make me wonder."

Annette turned in her whole dream journal. She had kept it specifically for homework purposes and used it for an entire week. She'd had Dick write down during the evenings any noises and mumblings she said in an effort to catch her dreaming in the act, so to speak. Annette oftentimes didn't remember her own dreams so she thought this had been a clever idea on her part.

She might have been wrong.

There were a lot of grunts and groans and yes, moaning, written down in her journal. Included were, uhhhh and Ohhhh and no, not now, and my covers!. Also was the single word giggling. Dick woke her up after the giggle and it wouldn't be appropriate to write down what occurred as a result of that waking up moment because it was no longer part of her dream. Duh.

Continuing were the words oh my, yes, Dick is the most awesome hottie ever! (though Annette suspected that he just added that to her journal for creative flair). Extra credit words were underlined in her journal: I'm hot, now yes now!, that tickles, my ass is falling, Twinkies, my milkshake brings all the boys to the yard, lipo is gross, Dick rules.

Annette included a detailed version of her dreams and how she percieved them by way of the words she spoke while dreaming. It would seem she thought herself a passionate, perceptive, and deeply thought provoked person. She also loved her boyfriend.

"Hi, Chris," Annette said as she approached him. "Would you want to partner up with me for this?"

Lana looked at her cup of tea a bit glumly. She really wasn't sure she wanted to know what it had to say.
