"Today our esteemed Principal Washburn will be helping to judge your efforts, so I'm not going to give my usual speech about respecting her, since if you don't already, I can't help you."

"Today we are going to talk about accessorising," he said. "The purpose of accessories is too compliment your outfit, help make your statement."

Ares gestured to a large and varied selection of weapons. "I find these to be very useful for that. Today you are going to go through these and see if you can't find something to your fashion sensibilities, you can even spruce them up a little if you desire, provided you don't take away from the effectiveness. For anyone nervous about handling weapons, please note that all of these are simulated and you cannot harm yourself or others with them. That said, don't be stupid, I'm sure Principal Washburn will have a few choice words if you are."

"How do you get them out?" Peter asked, curious. "When they're strapped?"

"There's ways." Dean looked around and sure enough found the kind of wrist sheath he'd been looking for. He quickly srtapped it on and demonstrated the spring action that dropped the blade right into his hand. "Fashionable and useful."

"That has got to hurt if it goes off at the wrong time," Peter said, ever practical.

Dean shrugged. "I've never had a problem with it."

"Not once? You've got a plan for a fight but the knife comes out before you wanted it to?"

"Nope. It always comes out when I want it to. Never prematurely."

"I can't help but feel like that would happen to me all the time," Peter addmited.

"Nah," Dean said. "If you've got good equipment, all it takes is a little practice to get it down. I can show you sometime if you want."

"How would I know if my equipment was good enough?" Peter asked.

"Oh you can tell just by handling it," Dean assured him. "Any defects are pretty easy to feel out."

"Couldn't I get hurt trying to feel that out?" Peter asked.

"Nah, not if you're careful."

"Not really sure I've got that kind of finesse."

"Won't know until you try," Dean told him.

"You sure you don't mind helping?" Peter asked.

"Nah. I helped teach Sammy about how to handle weapons so it's nothing new."

"Makes sense to me," Peter said. "If Nathan were around I'd want him to be the one showing me."

"Does Nathan know much about weapons?" Dean asked curiously.

"Navy man," Peter said. "Though these days he's all suits."
