We all tell lies, don't even try to tell me you've never told a lie. Actually, do and I'll give you detention. Oh yeah!" He really would.

"Today I want you to tell lies. Simple lies. We're not trying to win an Oscar, just get through life with less stress. What's a normal, simple lie? Your name? Toothpaste choice? Career aspirations? Whether or not you cheated last weekend? Whether you think it should count as cheating. Something lame like that. GO!" Barney loved listening to the radio. Really.

Zack and Karal might be surprised if they noticed Barney didn't seem to be avoiding their gaze. It was as if the entire weekend hadn't happened for him. Of course it had, he was just very good at lying to himself. Such things happen when you're completely awesome and Bob Barker is your dad.

At the end of the period, Barney called for attention again. "Tonight is Homecoming. I'm sure all you attached kids will be fighting over corsages, spiked punch, and whose date is hotter. Remember men, just because you arrived with her, doesn't mean you have to leave with her. Ladies, remember this is not your mother's Homecoming - SLUT UP! Enjoy yourselves, and have a LEGENDARY HOMECOMING. Heh, coming."

Yeah, I know. Just... Hey! Annette can say whatever she wants! She always has. Besides, weren't they supposed to be lying?

"What what? I'm leaving after graduation. Figured you were too."

"I don't know yet." he said. "I might stay for the summer. You that eager to go home?"

"I'm not really going home - I'm going to college. And... I don't know if I'm staying for summer. Probably not."

"That sucks." he said. Hmmm college. Maybe he should get on that. Not that it matters anyways since he'll be spending the summer emo-ing. Not that he knows that.

"It's life," she stated simply.

"Good point." he said. "So we might as well enjoy each other while we still can."

They were supposed to be lying right?

"Probably after tonight we could think about broadening our relationship."

Dick frowned and gave Annette a 'you better be lying' look. He was still kinda pissed about the A.J. thing. Okay, really pissed about the A.J. thing.

Annette didn't really want to test that look she didn't think, so she launched herself at him, yes, in the classroom. "I'm lying! I'm lying big time!"

A.J. probably wouldn't ask her to dance tonight. It was cool. The A.J. thing.

"Good!" he said, putting his arms around her. Barney was probably going to give him crap for that but whatever, he didn't care.

Pshh, she didn't care either. They were seniors; they ruled!

"I love you." She hoped Barney heard that too.

"I love you too." he said. Yeah. Barney was going to laugh at him.
