Advanced Mad Science, October 2nd

The Danger Shop didn't look like an Eastern European graveyard this week, but the desks had been moved to the sides in favour of a few odd looking things in the centre of the room. A phonebooth, a Victorian looking chair, and an eighties sportscar took up most of the space in the room, and all three of them seemed to have very odd wires and attachments and levers added to them.

The Professor leaned against the hood of the car while he waited for the class to arrive. "Good afternoon, students!" he said, as soon they had filled into the room. "Today's class subject is time travel. Time travel involves using a special device -- as such the ones behind me -- to puncture through the folds in the space time continuum to take yourself to a different time and occasionally a different place. There are many different methods of achieving this, many of which involve the use of a machine to take you from time to time."

He grinned malevolently at the class. "But the best way to learn about time travel is to throw you right into the deep end." A passed out a number of sealed cards. "Each of you have been given a different objective. You will pick one of these three time machines, and try to fix it. Luckily, this is entirely a holographic simulation, so you can't permanently damage the timeline. Try not to mess up the space-time continuum too much."

Tomoe was definitely punishing him. "Just get in the car will you?"

Johnny settled himself behind the drivers wheel, getting a feel for it.

Victor got in, not entirely happy to be in the passenger seat.

Then again, he had yet to learn how to drive a car. If Storm could manage it, he surely could, though.

Johnny revved the engine and grinned over at Von Doom. "Might want to hold on to something." Then he kicked it into gear and shot off. The holographic simulation was pretty freaking awesome.

(I got the Silver Surfer on Blu-ray today! SQUEE. Sorry, just had to say that.)

Victor made sure his seatbelt was secure. He was very glad that he did.

"Enjoying yourself?" Victor asked with a snarl.

[OOC: WOO!]

Johnny swerved to avoid hitting that thing that was...uh...there in the road.

"Dude! This car is so hot!" He punched the gas and his head hit the back rest. "Wanna try it?" He glanced over at Doom. "Or do you not know how to drive?"

"I'll drive on the way back into 'the present'," Victor said. "If we don't crash and die first."

"Hold on then cause here...we...gooooo!" And back to the past they went.

"One day I'll master time travel," Victor vowed as he was pushed into his seat. "And I'll make sure it's a more pleasant experience."

"Yeah, you do that metal head," Johnny said and got out of the car once he had it stopped.

"So let's hook up our mom with our dad; how hard can it be, really?"

Victor got out of the car and was silently thankful to be out of that death machine. "Considering that she's likely to fall in love with one of us--" Victor was certain which one it would be. He had mommy issues, okay? "--so it will likely be harder than you think. And first we have to find them."

"Let's start walking. Bound to run into someone who can tell us something," Johnny said. Finding them was going to be a pain. The falling in love part wasn't an issue. Come on. He glanced over at Von Doom. "What do you suggest?"

"I say we find both of them, lock them in a room together, and don't let them out until they conceive one of us," Victor said.

"Excellent, Doom. I agree with you one hundred percent." Johnny just wanted to get back in that car.

Johnny and Victor would find themselves somewhere in the 1950s, in what looked like a small town somewhere in Northern California. Nameless people went about their lives in the very pretty town square, while number of teenagers filed into a malt shop for some after school fun.

There was a pretty brunette girl watching the two of them with a mixture of curiosity and coyness, and a nerdy boy trying to slink by unnoticed in the background.

Johnny moved to nudge Doom. "Cute girl, two o'clock, checking us out, dude."

"Considering this simulation shouldn't take all day, I assume that's her," Victor said, thinking outside the box. "Let's go talk to her."

"Why don't we just kidnap her and the guy slinking behind her. Looks like he could be your dad."

"I wanted to make sure that we were picking the right people," Victor said. "But if you really want to just grab two random people, by all means, go ahead."

Johnny sighed. "Fine. Come on..." He stepped up a bit until he was closer to her and he smiled. "Hey, I... or rather, me and my friend here, couldn't help notice that you were staring at us. So..."

The girl smiled as the two guys walked over, and tried her best to look coy. "Well, I noticed that you were new in town, and I wanted to say hi." She moved in closer to them to look Johnny in the eye. "And to say that I think you're pretty dreamy."

The nerdy boy sighed at overhearing that, and carried on toward the malt shop.

Victor turned to Johnny. "That's enough evidence for me."

"Me too." Johnny then moved fast to try and grab her.

"I'll get him," Victor said, hurrying to the malt shop.

The nerdy boy was just trying to get into the malt shop, get a chocolate milk, and get out before he got bullied. When he spotted Victor coming at him, he let out an audible Eeep, and tried to walk faster.

Johnny had the girl in his arms and was walking down the sidewalk fast with her. Damn. This looked like kidnapping. He had no idea where the hell he was going.

"Doom? Come on man!"
