Fandom's Next Top Runway Model [Monday, Period Five]

Ares smiled at his class as they filed in. "I trust you all had a pleasant weekend," he said cheerfully, since even if he had missed the opportunity to take advantage of any mindwiped students, he could still mock them.

"Now I promised you something special today, and I plan on delivering," he said. "Today's lesson is on those most manly of garments, the skirt, and the dress. Given the extreme manliness of these garments, I have a certain amount of worry for those females in the class who might venture to wear them, so today, and today only, you have the option of aiding your male classmates rather than constructing a garment for yourselves, and then aiding me in judging the results."

"Well, what are you waiting for?"

"What's a skort?" Lee asked. "Not a shorter version of a skirt, right?"

"Nope, it's skirt with a pair of shorts hidden underneath," explained Hoshi. "It sounds like a goofy idea, but then you don't have to worry about keeping your legs together."

"Oh dear gods," Lee said and rubbed his face. "You've worn skorts before? They're not bad?"

"They're not bad at all. Definitely better than a skant (http://memory-alpha.org/en/wiki/Starfleet_uniform_(2350s-2360s)#Skant), which has nothing underneath," said Hoshi.

"I've decided I hate this class," Lee said as he fiddled with some of the material. "A lot."

"How did you end up taking the class anyway?" asked Hoshi. "I still can't figure out how they put me in here unless it was a mistake."

"I think I thought it was something else," he explained, trying to remember. "Not from this planet, don't understand everything and all that."

"You're not from Vulcan, are you?" asked Hoshi. It was the only other inhabited planet she was aware of.

"Caprica," he said. "Never heard of Vulcan."

"Then we're probably not from the same universe, unless my Earth makes contact with Caprica after they get their warp ships further out into space," said Hoshi.
