Diplomacy

Good afternoon

I’d like to begin by getting to know the class. If you could tell me why you picked this class... "Because I had to" is not an acceptable answer. We all have choices, whether it is clear or if it is not.

I’d also like to know what you hope to learn here.

Now, we’re going to have little bit or a writing assignment here. This won’t be graded. Yes, you have to do it as it does count towards class participation. For the next class, I want you to give me a minimum of 1 page, double spaced, answer to this question:

What do I think diplomacy is?

We will be discussing this next week. I think this will be a good way to get a feel of where we are... and where we need to go.

Diplomacy seems to be skill in handling affairs without arousing hostility. Or perhaps arousing suspicion and getting yourself tossed into a tower out by the Abyss. Also it is getting most of what you want without your sister taking it out of your flesh later. Not that she has, but she would given the chance.

(ooc: sorry for the tardiness, I live in the Mountain time zone and work very strange hours. please to forgive. I will be keeping up with things, just, well, later than everyone else on the planet seemingly.)

Oh, so sorry, I forgot to say that I chose this class so I could learn to do a better job not getting killed by one of my siblings.

My family is... large and, well, prone to infights.
