Fandom Invasions Class #4 (Thursday period three)

When the class filed in, they found the Danger Shop set up to look like the grounds outside the school in winter with a large amount of snow on the ground and more falling.

"Good morning," John greeted them. "It's not necessarily an invasion, but another thing that happens sometimes here is strange weather. Such as freak snowstorms. When that sort of thing happens, it's best to just take it in stride and go with it." He gestured around him. "So do whatever you would when faced with an unexpected snowfall." John smiled a little wolfishly at him. "Just remember to be ready for the unexpected."

"You don't have the guts," Peter teased.

"Oh yeah?" Claire returned, as she packed the snowball hard.

A moment later she'd thrown her first ever snowball. Not very well, but it was thrown.

It biffed Peter just over his eye. "Hey!" he said, laughing.

"You did ask for it!"

Claire crouched down where she was standing and gathered up more snow quickly.

"Revenge is sweet, and cold," Peter replied. He gathered up an armful of snow and went to try to dump it on her head.

"Ack, nonono..." Claire's protests trailed off into a scream as she tried to fend off the snow.

Which mostly involved hitting it before he could dump it, resulting in an explosion of snow.

It still left her covered in it, though.

"Great, thanks!"

Peter got some snow back on him in the process. "Right back atcha."

Claire shivered, rubbed her arms quickly, then turned her annoyance on him instead, trying to hit him on the arm.

"I'm cold, now!"

"Ow!" Peter protested. He rubbed his arm where she connected. "Blame the teacher! I didn't set up the class."

Claire had enough annoyance for that too, and shot a glare at Mr. Wincester.

(She could only hope he didn't see it.)

"You decided to cover me in it, though."

"All I did was move snow," Peter said, looking as innocent as innocent could be. "It's not my fault you happened to be in the way."

Claire gasped in indignation.

"You..."

Unable to express her annoyance, probably because she was trying not to laugh, she ducked down again and gathred up more snow.

Peter grinned the grin of the smug little brother - this being a grin he was quite familiar with - then tried to dive for cover.

The grin of the smug little brother only manages to bring on the rage of the annoyed big sister, and she hurled the snowball at him.

It went wide, but she ran after him anyway, intending to plet him from close up.

Peter lay low. His plan was to wait for her to get close enough, then he'd try to tackle.

Claire wasn't a bad runner at all, so she caught up to where hewas hiding pretty quickly, looking around for where he'd ended up, a snowball ready in her hand.

Peter pounced, aiming for grabbing a leg so he could try to drag her down.

Claire squealed, and went sprawling, dropping the snowball in her hand.

She rolled on her back, wriggling intensely to away.

Well that wouldn't do. Peter freed a hand to try to splash a nearby snowdrift onto her.

Claire squealed again.

"Quit it!"

It didn't stop her getting splashed with snow, but it did... actually, it didn't do anything useful, but it made her feel better.

"You saying uncle?" Peter asked, having no idea how much irony was in that question.

"Saying 'uncle'?"

Claire gave him a look, even as pinned as she was.

"How old are you?"

"Sixteen, why?" Peter asked.

"My brother's like... thirteen, and he grew out of uncle years ago," Claire said.

While one hand gathered snow under it.

"Maybe he's just hiding it." That made no sense, but Peter didn't notice.
