2nd Banana Club: Thursday Afternoon

Ron usually isn't one for spending money unless he absolutely needs to do so. However since he started the club he made sure that ther was food and refreshments available. He was a bit put off by the fact that he couldn't find pumpkin juice any where but at least he could serve tea.

After everyone had arrived he stood up. "Hey. I'm Ron. Welcome to the second Banana club. Since this is our first meeting I thought we'd just introduce ourselves and talk a bit about where we're from. Rose Tyler is our Faculty Advisor so feel free to chat her up anytimeif she's here. Also if there's anything you'd like to do as an activity for the club feel free to speak up."

Ron looked up from the dip with a confused look. "What? What'd I say?"

"What's that?" Ron asked. "Does it use ekeltrity?"

Rikku humphed. "That's Artoo. Be nice or he'll film, like, your worst moments and blackmail you with them later. And the onion dip is totally traditional for this kinda thing."

"The trash can has a name?" Ron said looking confused. "What is it?"

"It's not a trash can," Rikku said, eyerolling. "It's a droid. It usually hangs out with Luke. I, uh, think he owns it, but I dunno if that's, like, something that's rude to droids to say? Maybe they're friends or whatever. And he's Artoo something but I don't remember the other half of it."

"What's a droid?" Ron asked and then dropped down to a whisper. "Is there a little person living in there?"

"No," she laughed. "It's okay. It's, uh, it's a machina? There are bits and you program it to do things and it's way more advanced than anything we had. I mean, we just had droids patrol the borders and zap fiends. Artoo's kinda ... I dunno the word. Like he has his own personality and can maybe think or whatever?"

"Well he brought that dip thing," Ron said still kind of staring at Artoo. "I have to say I find it a little weird."

"I told you, the dip's traditional." She smiled wryly. "At least nobody's landing in it this time."

"I thought you were supposed to eat it?" Ron said looking confused.

"You are," she said with a faraway sort of smile. "And sometimes, something works that had no business working and someone you thought you'd never see again ever comes back and boom! Right in the onion dip."
