Combined Mathematics #3 [Friday 9-21, Period 4]

"There are," Jean-Paul began his lecture today, "about as many kinds of numbers as you might care to think of. There are real numbers, imaginary numbers, perfect numbers, rational and irrational numbers, positive and negative numbers, and of course, prime numbers." He actually smiled at the class then. "Are you confused yet?"

"Today, I would like everyone to pair up, except we have an odd number of students on the roster--ah, that's another type of numbers, odd and even ones--so there will have to be one group of three if everyone is present. One of you will supply a number, and the other will figure out which categories it belongs in. I have provided information sheets to help you if you are unsure. Or you may simply figure out whether numbers are prime or not, either game is acceptable to me."

AMi handed in her worksheet. Everything on it was neat and correct.

Hermione's worksheet was entirely correct, and written out very neatly.

Charlie handed hers in with some trepidation. The work was neat, and most of it was right-- but the she'd confused the rules on the last two problems. Stupid Associative Rules.

Adah turned her triple, quadruple, quintuple checked worksheets in. All the answers were correct, and there were quotes relating the equations to philosophy in the margins.

...Adah had too much time.

Ronan's worksheet was precisely filled out, and while there may have been one or two errors when it comes to his use of limits, they might appear more to be the fault of haste, rather than any deficiency of skill.

Bart turned in his homework. It might possibly have been done as soon as he heard it was due during class today.

He wasn't procrastinating! Really! There was just this new game and the graphics were soooo awesome and he couldn't say no to playing it and...

Well, at least most of the answers were correct?

Peter's worksheet looked rushed as if he hadn't looked at it until about an hour ago. It was all correct, but the penmanship was atrocious.
