When the class arrived at the Danger Shop, they found John frowning at the room's remote as he hit several buttons. Finally, with one last frown he put it aside and addressed the class.

"Good morning," he said. "It seems like the Danger Shop's projectors are being a little cranky, but we'll muddle through as best we can.

"Last week we talked about common dangers of Fandom that can pop up unnannounced at any time. This week, we'll be focusing on special events. Now not every special event ends in an invasion -- most of them run more or less smoothly and without incident. But some of them have more... exciting conclusions that were originally planned.

"Take this past May's graduation." John pressed several buttons on the remote, his frown deepening when nothing happened but a slight whine. He sighed. "Which apparently we will be discussing without visuals. During the graduation ceremony, aliens came down and blew up the school. Yes, aliens. Yes, I know how far fetched that sounds. Welcome to Fandom. Luckily, the graduating seniors were able to drive them off, and the summer was spent rebuilding the school.

"But since the Danger Shop doesn't seem to want to relive that particular trauma, we'll move on to our inclass activity today." He hit a few more buttons on the remote and breathed a sigh of relief when the room changed into a gokart track. "Last summer one of the special events they had was a gokart race. As happens in Fandom, there were some uninvited guests." Shadows flew by overhead and if the students looked up they would see brightly covered, slightly quivery dragons heading for them.

"Jello dragons," John said with a grin. "They're attacking the gokart race and you have to repel them by any means." His grin turned wolfish. "Have fun."

Whee, magic!

No, really. He'd said any means necessary, so there went Eve with a shielding spell.

It was actually kind of amusing seeing Jello bits seemingly bounce off thin air.

A blue jello dragon circled above Eve, occasionally shoot jello breath at her.

Peter tried to prep himself. Without someone to pair up with he was powerless. On the other hand, it couldn't hurt to practice for just such occasions.

Claire folded her arms, a rather unimpressed look on her face. It's not like her powers could actually help her or Peter with this.

"Jello?" She asked sarcastically. "This is the scary attack?"

Peter grinned at her. "Absolutely. We could end up eating a lot of it and become overweight."

A red dragon divebombed them and strafed them with its jello breath.

"Oh, good point!"

Claire threw up her hands in horror and ended up fighting off a pile of jello.

"And the laundry stains, that's going to sting."

Peter got jello right in his hair. "Oh yeah. Plus we could get followed around by a lot of ants."

The dragon landed nearby and advanced on them, growling in a rather gurgling jello-y voice.

Peter instinctively went to stand between the dragon and Claire.

Claire brushed Jello off her shirt and smirked at Peter. She thought it might be an improvement, hair-wise.

"Oh save us from the horrors of the ants."

She wasn't really paying much attention to the dragon.

The dragon stomped forward and went to chomp on Peter. However, being made of jello, this pretty much is just a more up close and personal way of getting jello slimed.

Aaaaaaaaand Peter got slimed.

"Yuck."

These dragons looked entirely edible.

Thus, Valentine was not at all worried.

Funnily enough, the same thought was crossing the green jello dragon's mind about Valentine. It dove towards him, intending on testing the theory.

There was a large green thing descending from above an a squishy green attempt to eat him. Which was amusing, really, because if Valentine had the same advantage, he'd probably be gnawing on the green thing's face. Mmm, food.

He didn't, however, have the advantage, so he did the one thing that he knew he could do rather well.

He started running away.

Jack boggled. "What is this?" he asked of no one exactly. Large jiggly dragon-things flying?

A purple dragon skimmed low towards Jack and breathed jello all over him.

Ew. Covered in gelatin. Jack shook his fists at the dragon, flinging random debris at it.

OOh, grape-flavored!

Adam was boggling at the jello dragons, yep. Oh, sure, he was going to fight back... but right now? Boggling.

Will summoned the Heart of Candracar from inside her palm and turned to face the dragons. She'd seen them before, so she was ready to see them again.

Jenny immediately tried to electrocute the hell out of the Jell-o dragons, but she was unsure about the effect several thousand volts would have on living flavored gelatin.

Robin was temporarily crippled by giggling.

Wyatt had heard about the jello dragons. Didn't make them any more believable.
