Today, the Danger Shop had been programmed back into its Badlands setting. The students, as they came in, found themselves standing in a valley with only one exit, with a line-up of Marine armor propped up against one of the walls. Kerrigan stood atop the rocks, her rifle in her arms.

"I have assigned you all groups of two. One of you will be the team leader, another will be assigned a stealth simulation protocol so they can operate what basically amounts to a personal cloaking device - but only within the confines of this sim. Don't try to take this one home, boys," and she may have shot Sokka ~~if he was there~~ a look, "You'll just end up disappointed. Your mission, and it's not up to you whether or not you get to accept it, is to get your stealth unit past enemy lines to the command centre some two miles from here. Check your minimap if you need to retrace your steps -- and good luck."

She turned around and vanished behind the rock.

Lee found the button and clicked it on. "Done. Ready."

"Okay, let's see if we can get rid of this guy," Molly said, putting action to words and firing at where the white marine had been.

The first two volleys winged him; Molly's final shot brought the marine crashing down to the ground, leaving the road open in one direction. There was a visible peninsula on the map, some distance away, with bridges leading out towards the objective.

There were also some somewhat menacing-looking shapes in the distance.

"You lead," Lee said, still keeping his gun at the ready even if he was cloaked. "Watch the needles. She seems to like having those things shoot at me."

Molly nodded understanding and pointed towards the peninsula after checking the map. "We need to go that way," she said. "If we run into any more marines, I'll play slow and clumsy so that you have time to get into a good position to fire back. Sound good?"

"Sounds good," Lee said, nodding. "I'm ready."

"Let's go then," Molly said with a grin and moved out with her gun ready, scanning for enemies.

There was a small cluster of five marines up ahead, blocking off access to the peninsula. They hadn't noticed either of them yet.

With a small warning hand wave to Lee, Molly carefully moved into cover.

He nodded quietly, raised his gun slightly and tiptoed behind Molly, staying back so he'd have a clearer shot.

Once Lee was in position, Molly nodded to him, aimed carefully, took a deep breath and fired as fast as she could at the group of them, hoping to at least injure them all before they got a chance to fire back.

Lee added his own fire, spraying it across the group and looking out for any frakking needles.

Two marines were injured, one more got a lucky shot (or rather, several shots, considering the rapid fire of marine weapons) in the head and crashed down. The remaining two marines locked onto Molly and began firing rapidly while their two wounded comrades searched for their stim packs.

Molly ducked and ran for secondary cover so that Lee would be for sure out of the line of fire and could fire unhindered as the marines tracked her. She got hit a couple times as she ran, but nothing the armor couldn't handle.

With that opening and knowing that there'd be fire coming in his direction now, Lee started moving a little so as not to be a stationary target and started spraying fire towards the remaining marines.

"No needles no needles no needles," he might've been heard muttering.

As soon as Molly reached cover, she turned and started firing at the marines again.

"This is easier than last time," Lee muttered to himself, keeping the gun tight and the firing. He advanced slowly, careful not to give away his position.

One marine got the majority of the bullets. His armor impacted upon itself and he hit the ground. The second found himself clipped in the shoulder, metal falling onto the floor. One arm disabled, he continued on firing his weapon one-handedly and with far less accuracy.

In the background, one of the remaining marines managed to plug in his stimpack. His pupils going empty, he charged in gun-first, firing without any real feel for aiming.

There were a lot of bullets, though, and as they went on, the bodies of two large scanners became obvious in the distance.

Molly stayed behind cover and took a chance by firing blind at the two marines while keeping her head down.

Even though he was cloaked, he still took some hits before dropping to the ground under the fire and shooting towards the remaining marines.

In one way, this was a good idea because he was a lower target. In another way, he was stationary AND on his stomach so quick movements would not be easy.

Molly realized that she shouldn't have gotten so separated from Lee, but there wasn't anything she could do about it now except kill these marines. She risked taking a peek as she continued firing.

"No robot guts, no robot guts, no robot guts," Lee chanted to himself as he continued firing towards the marines while on his stomach. He used his elbows to crawl closer and aimed higher, going for heads.

The marines could not take the onslaught from both sides - but one managed to look (and point his weapon) straight at Lee for a moment before he met his death on the empty ground.

The final remaining marine couldn't get his stim pack to work. He seemed pretty out of it, leaving the path to the peninsula - and the seemingly undefended scanners - empty.

Lee stood up warily, gun still raised and said, "I think we can move!"

Molly stepped out from cover and sighed in relief. "Cool. Let's go," she said and lead the way to the peninsula.
