Sam was very thankful for caffeine as he opened the library and got everything set up for the day.

Sam was perched at the computer, checking his e-mail and looking for good deals on dog and bird food.

Hoshi stopped in before her Top Runway Model class. Her earlier conversation with Beauty (http://community.livejournal.com/fandomhigh/1518943.html?thread=93163871&style=mine#t93163871) reminded her that she still hadn't visited the library yet.

Sam glanced over to see who had come in and smiled when he saw Hoshi. "Hey! How are you?"

"Not bad," answered Hoshi with a small smile in return.

"That's good to hear," Sam said. "So, what brings you by?"

"I wanted to look at some of the history books and see how it compares to the history of my world," replied Hoshi.

"Oh, okay. We have a pretty big history section. Are you more interested at looking at the history of this world, or this country?"

"World history, and I think what I'm looking for is in the mid to late 1990's," said Hoshi.

Sam nodded. "So, fairly recent stuff, for us, at least." He took Hoshi to the world history section and started pulling out some of the more newly-updated books. "The last few chapters of these books should cover the 80's and 90's, and I think some of them are new enough that they've got really recent events in them too."

"Thanks. This should be helpful," said Hoshi, taking a couple of the books for herself.

"Awesome," Sam said, grinning. "If you need anything else, let me know, and I'll see what I can dig out for you. I hope you find what you're looking for."
