"Good afternoon, students. I'm Harriet Jones, Dean of Students. Some of you might know who I am, but for those who don't, it's nice to meet you all. Feel free to pop in for a chat if you have any student-related problems. Or any problems, really.

Now, welcome to our first assembly for the semester. We have a special guest today, the star of…" Harriet raised an eyebrow at her notes before continuing, sounding just a bit confused. "The star of Everybody Loves Hypnotoad. Now, that can't be right. Why on earth--"

There was a loud, buzzing HMMMMMMMMM coming from the toad on stage.

Harriet straightened, gaze fixed forward, looking out at the students. "The star of Everybody Loves Hypnotoad. All glory to the HYPNOTOAD."

Karal was fleeing like a fleeing that flees, bright red and hurrying towards the exit, in the hopes of getting back to the library before anyone could talk to him.

The hypnotism may have worn off, but he was still a bit chicken.

The hypnotism has worn off and Annette grabbed up her crutches and tried to hurry towards the exit as fast as her limping self could.

Cassandra looked around, trying to find someone to ask the all important question: "Does this happen often in Fandom?"

Jack was there, trying to scurry out before she could ask it to him. He wasn't very effective in stealth scurrying.

Even people who were effective at stealth scurrying were likely to be noticed by Cassandra. Not long ago, she would have accosted Jack and demanded an answer, but seeing as how she was trying to make friends, when she saw that he wanted to sneak away, Cassandra decided to let him.

She'd catch up with him some other time.

And Jack would have thanked her, if he knew she'd let him go.

He did freeze for a minute when he saw her looking at him. And continued scurrying like a scurry thing.

Sam was slouched low in his seat, trying to make all six-plus feet of himself invisible.

After the assembly was over, thankfully without Dean getting whammied, he made his way over to where his brother was trying to sink into the furniture and dropped into the seat beside him.

Sam glanced over just long enough to see that it was Dean sitting down next to him, and slumped down further. "I hate my life."

"Ah come on, it's not that bad," Dean said.

"I thought I was a pony! A really pretty pony!"

Dean tried but he couldn't help it. He completely cracked up.

Sam scowled and tried to hide again. Surely he could make the earth swallow him if he tried hard enough.

Dean managed to compose himself enough to say, "Because it would have been so much worse if you'd thought you were an ugly pony," then burst out laughing again.

Sam glared. "I hate you."

"Aw, Sammy. Quit horsing around."

Oh look, more glaring. "That's not funny. Are you planning on keeping that up all afternoon? Because I have a room to go hide in, and I can go there now if you are."

"Look, Sammy, it could have been worse," Dean said, trying for a more supportive understanding tone. "You could've been a chicken."

"I think I would have rather been a chicken."

"Dude, no you don't. I mean think about it -- you could've been up there shaking your tail feathers in front of everyone."

"Okay, when you put it that way, you might have a point," Sam said. "Think it's too much to hope that no one had a camera?"

"I think it's too much to hope that I didn't have a camera," Dean admitted.

"I should probably hide all weekend, shouldn't I?"

"Nah," Dean said, reaching out and laying a companionable arm around his brother's shoulders. "What you should do is let me take you out drinking tonight."
