The Library

Enough of the library is clean that Janet can work without worrying about accidentally sitting in zombie goo.

However, she has a giant air freshener right next to her, because zombie stench sticks even worse than zombie goo, and is combing through a literature book while trying desperately not to breathe through her nose.

River slips in and surreptitiously approaches the main desk. In an undertone, she asks, "Could you point me towards local history? Particularly with a slant towards the strange and unusual?"

Janet laughted. "Wait, you mean there's normal history about this town?" She pointed off to the left. "Five aisles or so back, third shelf in, if it's been reshelved properly. Parker's anal about that sort of thing, though, so it should be there. Anything dealing with dangerous or forbidden lore is in Special Collections, and you'll have to bribe ask the prof to let you in." She grinned. "Or possibly me, as library assistant. But I don't do too well with letting the dangerous or forbidden out of its holding cell, you know?"
