Thursday noticed the hesitation, but said nothing about it. "Yes," she replied. "Not quite time to go home. You missed dinosaurs and a horrid woman who terrorised the entire island while Zoe was on maternity leave. Other than that, it was fairly quiet."
"I'm the librarian now. The position came up and I was apparently suited to the job. I wanted to spend more time with Friday, so I accepted. Are you teaching popular culture again?"
"I'd be surprised if he didn't!" Rose agreed, then shuddered, "Sometimes the thought of havin' a kid as troublesome as I am is enough to make me break into a sweat."
Thursday blanched at that. "I really hope Friday isn't as nearly as troublesome as I was as a teenager. My mother still mutters to herself when someone brings up my teen years."
