When students entered the classroom, they would find it set up like any normal high school classroom, complete with a projection screen covering what was probably a white board. Barney was waiting for students, looking slightly annoyed by his roster. He shoved a syllabus in the hand of each student as they entered the room. When it appeared most students had arrived, Barney began his lecture.

"This class is titled Love Smart and I, Barney Stinson, Professor of Awesome, will be your instructor." Barney looked around the room and sighed. "I know, I know, relationships are rarely awesome." He figured those from his Awesome class would agree with him. "But I agreed to teach this class so as to guide you students through the mysterious world of relationshps."

Barney took a moment and engaged his PowerPoint presentation. Images of sappy couples in love flashed across the screen along with the questions:
What is a Relationship?
Are you in a Relationship?
If so, why aren't you good enough for your significant other?
Are you a good liar?

Pointing a finger at the screen Barney said, "This is our topic for today. I want each of you to introduce yourself and tell us your answers to these questions." He looked expectantly at the group of students. "You know kids, when I feel sad, like you probably do right now as you're faced with your terrible relationship or lack thereof, do you know what I do? I stop being sad and get AWESOME instead. True story. Let's get started!"

"Mayyybe," she grinned. She could lie. She was sure of it.

"Alright, go for it." he said.

Hmm.

"I was adopted." Said with a straight face even.

And what if that was really really true? Her wacky parents weren't really her parents?

Wow.

"Psh. You wish." he said with a grin.

Annette cackled.

"You go."

"I've destroyed a house." he said. This was a lie. It was a pool.

She wrinkled her brows. "No you didn't." She didn't buy that for a second.

"You're right. It was a pool." he said, smiling so she would think he was still kidding. "You go."

Laughing, she went with it.

"I'm a natural red head."

Dick raised an eyebrow. He doubted it but he'd wait to hear the other things she had to say first.

"Keep going. I have to hear the other two things first." he said.

Annette raised an eyebrow as well, thinking.

"I have this birthmark that looks kind of like a duck," she said, grinning.

And the last? "I once watched someone die."

Well, Dick would have known about the birthmark. So it was either redhead or someone dying.

"Hmm..." His eyes trailed up to Annette's hair to see if he could see any roots. "Did you watch someone die?"

"Yes, I did," she said softly.

"Now you go."

From the look on Annette's face Dick could tell he shouldn't go anymore into that subject.

"Uh, I once got straight A's in school." He couldn't even say that without smiling a little. "I had a dog named Sally and I once shot a man in Reno just to watch him die."

Annette laughed. "That poor man. Hmm, I would have to say that you had a dog named Sally."

"Yep." he said. "I'm such a bad liar."

"It's okay, sweetie. Think positively; we shouldn't lie anyway. Liars go to hell."

"Yeah, when I go to hell I want it to be for a cooler reason than lying." Like shooting a man in Reno just to watch him die.

"Omigod, if Lucifer is there? You can't go, I won't let you. He scared the holy crap out of me the other night. Never will I try to win at the staring game again."

(you know what's freaking weird? I stuck in Johnny Cash's greatest hits fifteen minutes ago.)

"Did you really expect to win?" he asked. Cause the dude was, y'know, the devil.

"I don't know what I expected. A little fun with Satan? I don't know. I literally ran out of there." She paused. "Sometimes I think I don't think very well."
