Thursday opened the library while balancing a mocha, a box of pastries (America had done nothing good for her eating habits) and the box with the library aide applications in them. She started everything up and sat down to enjoy her breakfast.

It took talent to be able to eat, drink and sort returned books without making a mess, but somehow Thursday managed.

The computer system had decided to freeze. This wasn't good.

Thursday was reading a book on computer troubleshooting.

Thursday ate her lunch while wondering if threatening the computer with a screwdriver and a magnet would work. The library was closed unless you were Sam or Bridge.

Now she was on hold with tech support, idly wondering if muzak had some kind of nefarious purpose that she wasn't aware of.

Tech support was of no help, but the computer decided to reset and fix itself once Thursday got through to an operator anyway. She delighted in hanging up on the operator, but not before making the suggestion that improving the music might improve the mood of those who have to wait on hold for an hour.

She tidied up and checked that Special Collections was locked up tight.
