Naminé laughed, flushing even harder. "He said I was being ridiculous, and I said he was being willfully blind, and then somehow that lead to us telling one another our life stories interspersed with kissing. Somehow whenever we talk seriously it leads back there instead."

"It must be something in the water." Anemone giggled at Naminé's blush. "You start being friends with a boy, then you share secrets, and the next thing you know, you're kissing them. I think it's contagious."

Now it's Anemone's turn to blush, and she manages to turn the same shade as her hair. "Yeeeeesss, but he left. Last night. No more kissing."

"Oh. I'm sorry to hear that." Naminé smiled sympathetically. "Are you all right? Can you write him?"

"I can write him. He promised to come back for the Homecoming celebration, and I'm supposed to go visit him over a weekend sometime." Anemone busied herself with feeding Gulliver another bit of cookie. "He's just over the Causeway, so I don't even have to leave this world."

"That's rather convenient, then, isn't it?" Naminé said hopefully. "If he's close by, then perhaps there will be kissing again, after all."

"That's the plan, but I'm trying not to get my hopes up." Anemone smiled as she patted Gulliver. "I like him. A lot. But I don't want to impose my expectations on him."

"Good luck," she smiled. "It isn't easy, I'm realizing, but perhaps that's because I overcomplicate things. And if he wants what you want, then you aren't pushing anything on him. Right?"
