Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, All Day: Part I

Zoe was very impressed with how well the construction people had done in rebuilding the school, and the grounds had been cleared just in time for the picnic to welcome the new students and teachers. Tables and chairs had been set up, and there was plenty of food and drinks, along with nametags, and two signs, one listing the Big Sibling/Little Sibling pairings, and another listing rooms and roommates for the new students.

[~~WAIT FOR THE OCD PLEASE.~~ OCD IS UP. This is part one of the picnic, for specifically meeting siblings, roommates, and teachers. Part two is happening simultaneously here, in an effort to keep browsers from breaking for as long as possible. *g*]

Deadpool held up his hands in surrender. "Hey, I was just confirming the rumor of Canadian on Canadian violence. Such a shame for our proud and noble people."

"Yes," Jean-Paul sighed. "Wolverine killed me. I got better. Also, regrettably, still Canadian."

"Good to hear." Deadpool scuffed his boot against the ground awkwardly. "So..." (Don't ask about the crazy sister or the gay, don't ask about the crazy sister or the gay...) "...how are things?"

"That remains to be seen," Jean-Paul said wryly. "I just got here, after all." He was still gay, and his sister was still crazy.

Deadpool nodded, staring off into the crowd for a moment. Then just couldn't not mention it... "I'd warn you that the water turns people gay here but..."

Jean-Paul suppressed a smile. "Yes, that's not so much a concern for me." He would be more concerned if the water turned him straight. Ew.

"Oh!" Deadpool said, finger pointed in the air in a Eureka! gesture. "And the kids here seem to love the boykissy, but don't encourage it. It'll only lead to them asking for gay porn and then you make friends while looking for it and get drunk and sleep with them, the friend not the student, and end up married because of a certain tricksy spy." He paused. "Not that anything like that has happened here."

"Of course not," Jean-Paul said with a smirk. "That was simply a very specific hypothetical."

Deadpool coughed, eyes darting around in a shifty manner. Of course, a lot of what he did was shifty, so this might not be of note.

"I do try to think out those hypothetical situations. At least I didn't mention the kids from some alternate future."

"Alternate...future?" Jean-Paul asked. "What, the students?" He was having flashbacks to classes at Xavier's.

"They had crazy future kids too," Deadpool replied, not getting the X-Men connection. Or, at least, trying very hard not to. Stupid kids from random futures where Apocalypse took over and their coming back to help the past. "Oh! Have you met the Mountie yet? Try stealing his hat, it's really fun."

"There's a Mountie? But we're in Virginia. And I have no idea what you're talking about." Not an uncommon state of affairs when it came to Deadpool, really. "The students have children?"

"Everyone had kids that weekend, I think. I had two!" Deadpool sighed, thinking back to that weekend and the groin-kicking. "But I'm pretty sure they were just potential kids, unless Tex left for some other reason..."

Jean-Paul decided that assuming Deadpool had gone more insane was the safest course of action here. "What are you doing here, then?"

"Teaching!" Deadpool gestured toward the mass of students. "What else would I be doing at a school?"

"Teaching? Teaching children? Teaching them what?"

"Well first it was driver's ed, then it was merc work, and now it's feminism." Deadpool grinned at him. "I think it's a very well rounded group of classes."

Because what the world totally needed was a pack of teenaged feminist mercenaries who could drive. "Indeed," Jean-Paul said archly. "Exactly what every student needs to know."

"And you? Are you teaching French? With that funny Québécois accent?"

"No, I will be teaching math," Jean-Paul said. "I might teach French next semester, if I stay. And my accent is not funny. Yours is."

Deadpool grinned. Because it totally was a funny accent. "Oh, Quebec, like the drunken family member at a family reunion. Only ruder."

"I will ask you once not to insult Quebec," Jean-Paul told Deadpool. And then he honestly wasn't sure what he would do, as hitting Deadpool a lot at very high speeds would probably get him fired.

It might. But if the whole kidnapping the principal thing was brought up, he might just get a stern lecture.

Damn criminal past.

"Can I insult the Royal Canadian Mounted Police?"

"Of course," Jean-Paul said agreeably. "Have at them."

Deadpool went to Give Jean-Paul a friendly pat on the back. "I don't care what everyone says about you, you're alright!"
