Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, All Day: Part I

Zoe was very impressed with how well the construction people had done in rebuilding the school, and the grounds had been cleared just in time for the picnic to welcome the new students and teachers. Tables and chairs had been set up, and there was plenty of food and drinks, along with nametags, and two signs, one listing the Big Sibling/Little Sibling pairings, and another listing rooms and roommates for the new students.

[WAIT FOR THE OCD PLEASE. OCD IS UP. This is part one of the picnic, for specifically meeting siblings, roommates, and teachers. Part two is happening simultaneously here, in an effort to keep browsers from breaking for as long as possible. *g*]

"Umbridge." Marco helpfully repeated himself. "So where are you from?"

"Are you joking?" Harry asked, ignoring the question. "Awful, short little cow of a woman, wears a lot of pink? She's gone? They got rid of her?"

"Well, short is a relative term. She's kinda tall compared to a poodle. But yeah, that's her. You've met her?" Marco asked, munching on a mini-pickle.

"She took over my old school last year. Thought we'd gotten rid of her," Harry said, suddenly on alert. "Where'd she go?"

"So what, she visits schools and stays until the students drive her out? I have no idea. Like I said, Washburn is back. Do you have any actual questions about the school?" Marco was beginning to think Harry had a very strange obsession.

Harry shook his head as though to clear it. "Uh, sorry." He tried to remember what else Marco had said. "Space? People are from space? Like...outer space?"

"Yeah." Marco nodded. "And some of them even look human!" This shocked Marco more than the fact that there were aliens. "And there's people from the past, future, and other ... places."

Harry just kind of stared. It wasn't really that it was so far-fetched. It was just that it had taken him a bit of time to just adjust to the magical world, let alone this.
