Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, All Day: Part I

Zoe was very impressed with how well the construction people had done in rebuilding the school, and the grounds had been cleared just in time for the picnic to welcome the new students and teachers. Tables and chairs had been set up, and there was plenty of food and drinks, along with nametags, and two signs, one listing the Big Sibling/Little Sibling pairings, and another listing rooms and roommates for the new students.

[~~WAIT FOR THE OCD PLEASE.~~ OCD IS UP. This is part one of the picnic, for specifically meeting siblings, roommates, and teachers. Part two is happening simultaneously here, in an effort to keep browsers from breaking for as long as possible. *g*]

Tim Taylor wandered around, cheesy grin on his face as he socialized.

Billy walked by, looking around at all the new people, and wearing cut off shorts that clearly showed the artificial nature of his left leg.

Tim glanced at the kid's leg in a not-dirty manner like a guy looking over a car for sale.

Billy noticed the man looking, and with a smirk, banged on his metal leg. It clanged non-hollowly.

"Nice work. What is that, steel? Titanium?" he called.

"Titanium I think." Billy said. "I didn't build it so I'm not certain."

"Nice! I've got a set of titanium clubs. Big Bertha model. I think they were named after Al's Mom," he said with a chuckle.

"Golf clubs?" Billy guessed. Hey for all he knew this guy was from a world where they still used clubs as weapons.

"Yep!" He pantomimed a golf swing. "You play?"

"Not regularly. I've done the driving range thing a few times in Scotland and Trans-Carpathia though."

"Oh," he said. "So you're from Europe? Transylvania and all? How's Dracula's short game," he asked with a chuckle. "Oh, no, sun's coming out. Thanks for the game, guys," he near-grunted.

Billy laughed. "I'm from all over the place really. Most recently Eastern Europe yeah. Never played Drac, but Igor's one hell of a caddie."

"Oh, yeah," he grunted. "That's how he got that hump," he said, imitating the motion. "I think you need a 5 Iron."

"Huh, he told me it was a boating accident. Little drama queen."

"Huh. I've never had the guy caddy for me, so I can't say. Boating accident? What, he tried to dock a dingy and slipped?"

"Tried to catch a lifeboat. He saw it on a cartoon and thought he could do it."

"I think that explains a lot about Igor," he said.

Billy snickered. "Yeah I suppose it does."

"So you're a student here? What's your name?"

"Oh, sorry. William Kessler, but everyone calls me Billy." He held out his hand.

"Tim 'The Toolman' Taylor." He shook it. "I'm teaching Shop."

With a name like that he was either a shop teacher or a Porn Actor. "Thinking of taking that next semester." Billy nodded.

"Excellent! I'm thinking of teaching it next semester," he said.

"Oh good, that way I don't have to feel guilty about not taking it this semester."

"You didn't try for it? Well, there is always next semester."
